Papakura North Kindergarten

Welcome to Papakura North Kindergarten, located in Auckland, New Zealand. Situated on a tranquil urban street between two local reserves, our kindergarten has been an integral part of the community for over 40 years. Our prime location allows children to connect with the local flora and fauna in our large natural outdoor environment.

At Papakura North Kindergarten, we believe in providing children with a holistic foundation for lifelong learning. Our qualified teaching team is dedicated to supporting tamariki (children) in developing their motor, social, language, and cognitive skills through play experiences. We understand that children learn best when they are engaged and having fun, which is why our curriculum is designed to encourage active learning through play.

We invite whanau (families) to visit our kindergarten and discover what makes us unique. Our Enviroschools program is one of the many aspects that set us apart. This program empowers children and young people to plan, design, and implement sustainability actions that are important to them and their communities. It provides a pathway for children from early childhood through primary, intermediate, and secondary school and beyond. Through our collaborative approach and strong relationships with nearly 100 national and regional partners, including New Zealand's councils, we are building a collective puna mātauranga (pool of knowledge).
