Welcome to BestStart Taita, located on Tocker Street in Lower Hutt, New Zealand. As an establishment and point of interest, our institution is dedicated to providing a nurturing and stimulating environment for children of all ages.

At BestStart Taita, we understand the importance of creating indoor environments that support the learning and development of each age group. That's why each of our rooms is equipped with high-quality, focused resources designed to ignite curious minds. We believe in providing children with the tools they need to explore and learn at their own pace.

Our expansive outdoor area is an integral part of our institution, where children can challenge themselves on the playground equipment while building their independence and self-confidence. It's a space where they can freely move their bodies and enjoy the open air.

For our youngest tamariki, starting from 3 months old, we have a beautiful room called Kāihopara. In this calm and tranquil space, time slows down for our babies and toddlers as they use their senses to discover the natural resources in our room and garden. We prioritize their comfort and well-being, following their lead with sleeping and eating to build trust in this place and their teachers.

Our two rooms for tamariki aged 2 to 5 years old, Pūtohe and Awhero, offer a wide curriculum to choose from, helping children develop the skills they need for life. They have the opportunity to play independently or with their friends and engage in activities that promote gross motor skills, fine motor skills, and taking care of themselves, others, and their belongings. These rooms also share an outside space, providing ample room for children to move their bodies in the open air.

We are incredibly grateful for our amazing teachers and staff at BestStart Taita. They create warm interactions with our kids and families, making the transition smooth and enjoyable.
