Devonport Kindergarten

Welcome to Devonport Kindergarten, located at 43 Vauxhall Road in Auckland, New Zealand. As an establishment and point of interest, we are proud to offer high-quality early childhood education in a warm and nurturing environment.

At Devonport Kindergarten, we understand the importance of play in a child's development. Our dedicated team of three qualified registered teachers works closely with children to encourage their interests and inspire their projects. We believe that meaningful learning experiences are created through child-led play, where teachers serve as guides and facilitators.

Our curriculum is based on the principles, strands, and goals of Te Whāriki, the New Zealand early childhood curriculum. This ensures that our teaching and learning environment is holistic and comprehensive. We embrace the diversity that children and their families bring, and we strive to develop relationships that are responsive, reciprocal, and respectful.

In our kindergarten, children feel relaxed and have a strong sense of belonging. They initiate conversations with both their peers and teachers, fostering friendships and social connections. We value the input of parents in their child's learning journey and regularly record and revisit their aspirations, which are then included in learning stories.

Devonport Kindergarten operates on a full six-hour day model, from Monday to Friday, starting at 8.30am and ending at 2.30pm. Our office hours are from 8am to 4.45pm, Monday to Friday. Please note that we are closed during term breaks and public holidays.
