Mangere Bridge School

Welcome to Mangere Bridge School, a primary school located in Auckland, New Zealand. Our school is a point of interest and a beloved establishment in the community. At Mangere Bridge School, we prioritize the values of Aroha (love), Ako (learning), and Angitu (success). Together, we care, we learn, and we succeed!

We extend warm Pacific greetings to all, including Talofa lava, Malo e lelei, Kia Orana, Bula Vinaka, Fakaalofa lahi atu, Namaste, and Taloha ni. We value and celebrate the diverse cultures and backgrounds of our students and their families.

As the principal and tumuaki of Mangere Bridge School, I am Bernice Mata'utia, and I am incredibly proud of our school community. We strive to create a welcoming and inclusive environment where all whaanau (families) and tamariki (children) feel a sense of belonging. Our goal is to provide high-quality learning experiences that are authentic, responsive, and engaging for all students.

At Mangere Bridge School, we place our students at the heart of all decision-making processes. We recognize and embrace their individual interests and strengths, tailoring our learning programs to be enriched, challenging, fun, and rewarding. We also work closely with specialists and external agencies to support students with moderate to high learning needs, ensuring collaboration with whaanau through talanoa (discussion) and koorero (conversation).

Our school is situated at the base of Te Pane o Mataoho, also known as Maangere Mountain, and borders Te Whaanga o Maanukau. This beautiful location reflects the strong connection we have with nature and our surrounding community. We proudly serve a diverse and multicultural community, catering to students in Years 1 to 6. Additionally, we have Te Hiaroa, our Maaori bilingual and bi-literate teaching unit, which was established in collaboration with whaanau and the wider community.
