North Harbour Kyokushin Training

Welcome to North Harbour Kyokushin Training, located at 90 Akoranga Drive in Auckland, New Zealand. Congratulations on taking the first step towards discovering our dojo and facilities. Established in 1982 by Shihans Stephen & Diane Takiwa, North Harbour has become a renowned institution in the world of Kyokushin Karate.

Although the Takiwas have since relocated to Hastings, their legacy lives on through the talented Black Belts who have taken the reins. Drawing on their expertise and extensive experience, our instructors provide challenging and diverse instruction to cater to students of all levels. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced martial artist, there are classes tailored to suit your fitness level and ability, ensuring that everyone can benefit from the principles of Kyokushin Karate.

We understand that taking the first step can be daunting, but you've already overcome that hurdle! Just come along to our dojo, dressed in comfortable attire, and have a chat with Senpai Arpi or one of our senior students. They are friendly and approachable, so don't worry about being bitten! You can either jump right into training or observe a few sessions to get a feel for our dojo's atmosphere.

To make joining even easier, simply fill in our online form, and we will enroll you for two weeks of free training. Attend as many sessions as you can handle and immerse yourself in the world of Kyokushin Karate. If, for any reason, you don't love it, there is no obligation to continue.

North Harbour Kyokushin Training is an affiliated dojo of IKO1 (International Karate Organisation Kyokushinkaikan) and a registered dojo of NZKOK Inc. (New Zealand Karate Organisation Kyokushinkaikan Inc.). These affiliations ensure that our training adheres to the highest standards of Kyokushin Karate.
