About the Business
Welcome to the University of Auckland, Epsom Campus! Located on Epsom Avenue in Auckland, New Zealand, our institution is a renowned establishment and a point of interest for students and academics alike.
Nestled amidst the serene and picturesque surroundings of leafy pohutukawa trees, our campus offers a tranquil and peaceful atmosphere, just a short 10-minute drive or bus ride away from the bustling city center.
At the University of Auckland, Epsom Campus, we pride ourselves on fostering a community-minded and supportive environment. We believe in the value of forging strong bonds with lecturers and peers, creating a multicultural space where diversity is celebrated and cherished.
As the main campus for the Faculty of Education and Social Work, we cater to approximately 5000 students, offering a wide range of programs including Teacher Education, Social Work, Sport, Health and Physical Education, as well as foundation programs. Until the end of 2023, all our programs will continue to be taught at the Epsom Campus, after which we will relocate to the City Campus from 2024 onwards.
One of the unique benefits of studying at Epsom Campus is the availability of free parking for students, unlike the City Campus. Additionally, regular public transport options are readily accessible, with a short 10-15 minute commute between Mt Eden/Epsom and the city, even during peak traffic hours.
For those seeking a break from their studies, the campus is conveniently located just a few minutes' walk away from the charming cafes and boutique shops of Mt Eden Village. This delightful spot provides the perfect setting for coffee breaks and study dates with new friends.
Our commitment to student support is unwavering. We offer a wide range of services and facilities to ensure our students' success, including the Epsom Information Commons, Te Korowai Atawhai (Māori student support), Pasifika Success, the First Year Experience program, early childhood centers, a Marae, cafe, and even tennis courts.
The Sylvia Ashton-Warner Library is an impressive resource center for both staff and students, boasting an extensive collection of print materials and a vast array of electronic resources. Additionally, there are numerous study spaces and computer rooms available, perfect for completing group or solo projects.
For any assistance or guidance throughout your academic journey, our Student Hubs are here to help. With services available seven days a week at the City, Grafton, Epsom, and Tai Tonga campuses, and six days a week at Tai Tokerau, our friendly staff are always ready to provide advice and support on all aspects of your studies and life at the University.
