Welcome to Auckland Swords Fencing Club, located at 55-85 Mountain Road in Auckland, New Zealand. If you're looking to delve into the world of fast and exhilarating fencing, you've come to the right place.

Our club meets at the Auckland Grammar School old gymnasium, just off Mountain Road, at Gate 3 in Epsom, Auckland, New Zealand. We gather on Tuesday and Thursday nights from 7pm to 9:30pm, as well as on Wednesday evenings from 7pm to 9pm, and Sunday afternoons from 1pm to 3pm. Our season spans from mid-January to mid-December, providing ample opportunities for you to engage in this thrilling sport.

Established in 1935 and running continuously since 1937, Auckland Swords Fencing Club boasts a rich history and a vibrant community of over 130 members. We welcome fencers of all abilities and preferences, whether you're a beginner, a competitive enthusiast, a rising national contender, or simply someone who enjoys the art of fencing for relaxation.

Our club offers comprehensive training led by our team of qualified coaches. We provide coaching in both epee and foil disciplines, catering to fencers aged 10 and above. With two dedicated foil coaches and eight esteemed epee coaches, you can be confident that you'll receive expert guidance and support.

To maintain a professional and safe environment, we kindly request that participants refrain from wearing shorts or tights during fencing sessions. Instead, please opt for track pants or fencing breeches.

Our weekly schedule offers a range of classes and practice sessions to suit your needs. On Tuesdays, we have a Beginner's Class from 19:00 to 20:30 during Term 2 and Term 4, as well as free fencing and individual lessons from 18:00 to 21:30 in Term 1 and Term 4, and from 19:00 to 21:30 in Term 2 and Term 3. Thursdays feature free fencing and individual lessons from 18:00 to 21:30 in Term 1 and Term 4, and from 19:00 to 21:30 in Term 2 and Term 3. Sundays offer an Advanced Footwork conditioning class from 13:00 to 14:00, an Intermediate Foil class from 14:00 to 15:00, and free fencing and individual lessons from 13:00 to 15:00.

For those looking to enroll in our term courses, here are the upcoming dates and timings for 2023: Term 1 runs from 8th February to 5th April with classes on Wednesdays at 7pm (currently full). Term 2 runs from 25th April to 27th June with classes on Tuesdays at 7pm (currently full). Term 3 runs from 19th July to 20th September with classes on Wednesdays at 7pm (currently full). Finally, Term 4 runs from 10th October to 5th December with classes on Tuesdays at 6pm.
