Mt Roskill Kindergarten

Welcome to Mt Roskill Kindergarten, located on Akarana Avenue in Auckland, New Zealand. Situated at the top of Harold Long Reserve and Fearon Park, our kindergarten is surrounded by a beautiful learning environment that overlooks our neighborhood.

At Mt Roskill Kindergarten, we are proud to serve a rich, multicultural, and diverse community. Our tamariki (children) love playing and learning with their friends in our wonderful outdoor learning spaces. Our large playground provides plenty of opportunities for tamariki to challenge themselves and work together with their friends. Additionally, we have raised garden beds where tamariki can grow kai (food) and explore our natural environment.

We believe in empowering children to become lifelong learners through play. Our experienced teachers facilitate the development of various skills, including physical movement, problem-solving, safe risk-taking, negotiation, collaboration, resilience, and caring for the environment and each other. Children engage in different areas of the kindergarten, such as role play, water play, sand play, games, gardening, and other daily activities.

They understand that every child is unique and ensure that each child is nurtured and given the confidence and freedom to be themselves.

Our teachers implement a child-initiated program, recognizing and responding to children's dispositions and emerging interests. They work collaboratively, valuing each other's strengths and sharing the responsibility for all children's education and care.

Kindergarten hours are from Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 2:30 pm, and our office hours are from Monday to Friday, 8 am to 4:45 pm. We are closed during term breaks and public holidays.
