Welcome to Zaminka Dog Motels! Located at Old State Highway 1, Te Horo - Otaki, on the beautiful Kapiti Coast in New Zealand, our establishment offers top-notch lodging for your furry friends. At Zaminka, we understand that every dog is special, regardless of their breed or background. Whether your dog is a purebred with a rich history or a lovable mutt with a mysterious parentage, we are dedicated to ensuring their comfort and happiness while they stay with us.
Our opening hours are flexible to accommodate your schedule. From Sunday to Friday, we are open from 7.15am to 11.30am and from 4pm to 6pm. On Saturdays, our opening hours are from 8am to 11.30am and from 5pm to 6pm. We kindly ask that you check out by 11.30am, but if necessary, you can check out anytime during our opening hours with an additional fee.
Conveniently located just off the expressway, we are only a one-hour drive from Wellington City. Whether you're coming from the north or south, simply take the Otaki exit to Te Horo, and you'll find us easily. Our country kennels offer affordable prices, ensuring that your dog receives the best care without breaking the bank.
In addition to our regular boarding services, we also offer day care sessions for $25 per session. Please note that all dogs must be vaccinated and desexed to ensure the health and safety of all our guests.

"We've been using Zaminka for the last four years, whenever we need to go back to Canada for a visit. The staff there are friendly, professional, and ALWAYS take excellent care of our two dogs. Whenever we go to pick up our dogs after the trip, they always look wonderful and healthy, as the staff will ask if we would like them bathed and groomed on pick-up. We're often told of some of our dog's various antics while at the Dog Motel which says to us that the staff take their jobs seriously, and they truly care about them.
