Welcome to RidgeView School! Located in the beautiful semi-rural area of Auckland, our little school with a big heart is the perfect place for your child's education.

Situated on a private road, about 8km outside of Albany, RidgeView is surrounded by peaceful green farmland, giving the area a charming country atmosphere. Most of our students come from the local village and surrounding area, enjoying the convenience of walking, cycling, or scooting to school.

At RidgeView, we prioritize personalized learning and have divided our school into three distinct learning areas. Waahi Koru is where our junior students learn through a mix of play, Waahi Pitau is for our middle school students, and Waahi Pakari is dedicated to our senior students. However, we believe in flexible learning and often move between areas to ensure each student receives appropriate educational opportunities.

One of the unique aspects of RidgeView is our close-knit community. With our small student population, everyone knows each other, creating a warm and supportive environment that feels like a large family. Despite our rural location, we benefit from being close to a large city, providing our students with the best of both worlds.

In line with the Maori principle of tuakana-teina relationships, our students demonstrate strong bonds and collaboration on our playground and in our classrooms. This principle emphasizes the importance of older students guiding and supporting younger ones, fostering a sense of responsibility and unity among our students.

At RidgeView, we instill important values in our students. Respect, excellence, and positive relationships are at the core of everything we do. We encourage our students to become fantastic RidgeView REPs, embodying these values in their daily lives. Our students are regularly commended for their exceptional sportsmanship, have-a-go attitude, and exemplary behavior during trips and sporting events.
