Northcote Kindergarten

Welcome to Northcote Kindergarten, located at 7 Nutsey Avenue in Auckland, New Zealand. As an establishment, point of interest, and school, we take great pride in being an Enviroschool, with a strong focus on sustainability and the protection of our natural resources.

At Northcote Kindergarten, we are committed to inclusivity and accessibility. We are proud participants in the Inclusion Project 2015, which aims to meet the changing social, cultural, and learning needs of children, making kindergarten accessible for everyone.

Our dedicated kaiako (teachers) are skilled in implementing the Incredible Years Teacher Programme, which supports young children with self-regulation and enhances their social, emotional, and academic competence.

One of the standout features of Northcote Kindergarten is our emphasis on art and creativity. We believe in providing an exciting and richly resourced learning environment that nurtures and exposes children's passions and learning. Families are always welcome to stay and play, experiencing the vibrant atmosphere firsthand.

Our kindergarten is staffed by qualified and registered early childhood teachers who are dedicated to and passionate about early childhood education. Our quality learning programs are based on the New Zealand Early Childhood Curriculum, Te Whãriki.

We also have a strong partnership with the neighboring school, benefiting children and their families as they transition to school. This partnership ensures a smooth and seamless transition for our children.

At Northcote Kindergarten, children settle quickly into the program. They are friendly and play well with each other and with adults, creating a positive and nurturing learning environment.

Our kindergarten operates from Monday to Friday, with hours from 8.45am to 2.45pm. Our office hours are from 8am to 4.45pm, Monday to Friday. Please note that we are closed during term breaks and public holidays.
