Welcome to Browns Bay Taiaotea Kindergarten, located in the heart of Browns Bay, Auckland, New Zealand. Situated on Woodlands Crescent, our kindergarten overlooks the stunning Freyberg Park, providing a beautiful backdrop for our tamariki (children) to learn and grow.

At Browns Bay Taiaotea Kindergarten, we embrace and celebrate the multicultural heritage of our community. With greetings like "Kia Ora," "你好," "hallo," and "안녕하세요," we create a welcoming environment for families from all around the world. Our dedicated team of kaiako (teachers) is passionate about providing a nurturing and respectful atmosphere for our tamariki and their whānau (families).

We believe in the importance of building strong connections with our tamariki and their whānau, taking the time to listen and understand their needs. By nourishing the wairuatanga (spirit) of each child and their whānau, we can tailor individual learning programs that prepare them for a successful transition to school.

Our kindergarten is committed to sustainability and innovation. Through research and planning, we create stimulating environments that foster sustainable practices and thinking. These values are deeply ingrained in our kindergarten philosophy, alongside Te Whāriki (the Early Childhood Curriculum), tikanga (ways of being), and dispositional learning. As part of Enviroschools, we have an ongoing learning program to empower our tamariki to become guardians of their environment.

Engaging with our local community is a key focus at Browns Bay Taiaotea Kindergarten. We regularly venture out into the Browns Bay community, exploring local landmarks, utilizing facilities, and building strong connections. We encourage our tamariki to manaaki, showing kindness and respect to everyone they meet as they discover the treasures of our local area.
