Waimauku Kindergarten

Welcome to Waimauku Kindergarten, a warm and inclusive institution located in the beautiful suburb of Waimauku, New Zealand. Our kindergarten, proudly opened in July 2003, was the result of the hard work and dedication of a group of passionate women who fundraised tirelessly for over four years to bring this dream to life.

At Waimauku Kindergarten, we believe in the power of play and the importance of outdoor exploration. Our expansive natural environment, complete with mature gardens, provides the perfect backdrop for children to engage in hands-on learning. From planting and harvesting crops to sampling the fruits of their labor, our little ones actively participate in the wonders of nature.

Our purpose-built play space is designed to foster creativity, curiosity, and collaboration. Children are encouraged to freely explore, create, and learn alongside their peers in a safe and stimulating environment. We place a strong emphasis on sustainability, evident in the way our kindergarten is resourced and operated.

Our program and environment are tailored to accommodate diverse learning needs. We empower children to make choices, explore their interests, and develop their own theories, giving them agency over their own learning journey. Our dedicated teaching team is committed to guiding and supporting each child's individual growth and development.

We follow a structured calendar, with Term 3 running from 17th July to 22nd September, and Term 4 from 9th October to 20th December. This ensures a consistent and enriching educational experience for all our students.
