"Visited this restaurant for the second time as I tend to not believe in first impressions. 1st time wasn't great (March 2022) and this time was sadly much the same. Had the salt and pepper prawns - prawn covering was average. Chips were almost ok - didn't present as fresh and hot, and little salt. The salad didn't appear overly fresh (no crunch) and had no dressing at all - it wasn't even offered. I was really hoping this would be a great meal to match the location and initial service impression but sadly not. We won't be back - not to say this is a bad place but it just didn't match up to what you might expect in a tourist location where a little bit of extra effort can make such a difference. The staff were friendly enough and the location is very nice. We have "done" the Kuranda visit so won't get to test them again - I hope they can lift their game and make the visit for other people truly wonderful. It really doesn't take much."
"The fish was hard as a rock and so dry, the chips were also dry, and the calamari was clearly from a frozen packet. I don’t think that a piece of fish should make a noise similar to a fork when you hit it against a plate. I wish I could add a video to show truly how appalling this was. For the cost of the meals (which was clearly overpriced) you would expect way more. Do not come here ever."
"The rainforest view restaurant offers a beautiful location, but our experience was disappointing. Despite the nice view, we had to wait for an hour for our food, which arrived cold. The high price didn't match the quality, as the taste was terrible. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. It's understandable why it has a low rating of 1.8 stars from others."
"Not worth it!! The food is overly expensive, portions are poor considering the price, and quality was terrible. We ordered Crocodile Sausages ($23 AUD) (photo 1) Crocodile Fillet (photo 2 and 3) also had unreasonably small portions and poor quality. Worst of all, the vegetables were not even properly washed and soggy. Chips were also straight out of a freezer and excessively salty. On the bright side, the restaurants aesthetics were great and there was air conditioning. Service was generally good and many were friendly and enthusiastic."
