"Never again! So many things! If you want after hours access (9pm) you will be charged extra per period. If you don't opt in for it, and you get in before 9pm, and want to leave after 9pm, you are not only locked in, but charged $75 for the experience. We had called the police to try and be let out. And tried calling the posted phone numbers inside but they were for the national 1300/1800 number and no answer. Apparently there was one piddly mobile number hidden in the lift at the entrance we didnt use. If you use the stairs (during open hours!), you'll set the alarm off and be charged $25 for it. We needed 2x units for our stuff. Signing up online doesnt let you choose your unit. As a result we had 2x units on 2 different floors on two ends of the building. Made moving our stuff in and out a huge extra hassle. (Yes local staff offered to fix it, but it was way too late) Somehow NS let a possible homeless guy bring his trash filled van in to spew garbage all over the place and let him stay there for very long periods over the day We believe he was somewhat living there (as storage rent is cheaper than housing). He was there almost every time we were which was about 15-20 visits. The guy would constantly be there and when other people arrived to access storage he would make himself look busy. Having 3 kids with us, we felt VERY unsafe with him around. We had to keep them with us at all times. He would sit in his van eating food and watching while we packed our trailer. We will never use National Storage again and wherever possible will share our terrible experience with everyone. We couldn't wait to have our units empty and to be rid of this rotten experience."
