"I love going here and spending time with all the gorgeous cats! The volunteers are lovely and clearly care about the cats so much. All my experiences here have been enjoyable and leave me wanting to go back the next day. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking to adopt a cat ❤️"
"good people, but don't let them make you buy brothers because they're a 'bonded pair' and can't be split up. Like most brother cats under the same roof, the only thing pudding and apollo bond over is a good fight!"
"The staff at 10 lives are absolutely rude, I will be naming and shaming these two staff members Sarah and Elijah, I called for my cats vaccinations and ELIJAH was so rude and said where busy and hang the phone up, I called the next day for 10 lives to send me a email of what vaccinations my cat needs and SARAH said I suppose so and put me on hold and said I should have a sheet to lazy to send the email, then I said I lost the sheet and she went ugh ok, and said she would send the email which she didn’t for two hours, so I had to call back and she said ok I’m sending it and hang up, THE STAFF HERE ARE EXTREMELY RUDE AND ILL NEVER RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO ANYWAY"
"Have wanted to foster some kittens for some time and finally did so once we moved into our own place. I chose to care for two kittens and made sure to tick the box saying they can't be unwell due to having my own cat also living in the house. I kept them in a separate room so there was a door between my cat and the kittens (a few small interactions under the door but that was as close as they ever got). A few weeks after having the kittens I took them back in for their vet check and one returned with a red eye which I flagged with Ten Lives. Days later my cat showed signs of cat flu and a 3am $230 trip to the emergency vet was eventually needed. I ended up giving the beautiful kittens back and was sad that the sick one was still adopted out straight away. My cat who has always been inside and healthy has now had cat flu for a second time since and Ten Lives hardly wanted to know about it at the time. I had to push for their vet to give my cat a look over when I dropped the kittens back as I would have otherwise been charged again for another vet trip. It was then I was told they were aware they had returned the kitten unwell but had never mentioned it to me. Complete disregard for carers and their own pets and tried to put the blame on me for not washing my hands, putting the cats together etc which was not true and was even told I 'should have ticked that I didn't want unwell cats' which I had. Loved fostering the kittens however it seems not all staff are about the health of the cats or the feedback from when they were in care."
"I adopted an adult cat from this shelter and was assured he would be happy to live indoors and he wasn't. As soon as he made himself comfortable, which was virtually immediate, he was bored and started meowing incessantly to go outside. I returned him and was refused a refund. As a disability pensioner, I did not want to make a $300 donation, I wanted a companion. Take care here, not everything is as rosy as it seems."
