"This place needs to be investigated in all aspects. Everyone you will come across there have the same attitude. They don't care. They will make you feel even more worthless than you already do. And you'll get no support at all from anyone there. Honestly why even have a community mental health service if you are not going to help, even my GP is disgusted with their lack of support. He has tried to get me help there so many times but I am always discharged by them having recieved no service Editing this 1 year on. After writing to the premier and health minister about the lack of mental health supports and after months of them investigating northern community mental health told the health minister they would see me and do an assessment. I have this in writing. I was told I just needed to go back to my gp and get another referral. Personally handed it in to them and was told I would be gaurenteed an appointment. 7 weeks later I still hadn't heard. When I called they told me they rejected the referral and pretended they did not know about the correspondence from the health minister. Now I have the health minister and the office of the Chief psychiatrist involved again. Seriously this place should be shut down, or sack every single person there and employ people who are not going to mess with people who need mental help"
"I come in fortnightly for medical purposes and enjoy chatting to the workers. If you're willing to commit to treatment and stick to your plan, it's really really helpful."
"I have nothing beautiful support even after my mixup with an appointment and I still got to speak to Bobby, which helped so much. My psychiatrist Dr.Toh did his upmost the squeeze me and prescribe my needed medication. They all genuinely care."
"If I could get a 0 star I would. Constant mix ups with my daughters appts. Constant mix ups with depo at home or in the service like today. She is sick so we organised them to do a depo home visit. I call to see when they’re coming and she’s not on the home visit list. They won’t unlatch their claws from my daughters care and tried for a 12 month CTO. We win a 3 month CTO. So end of this month she should be free of them but no they want her for another 12 months. Is this because they receive funding for her?? Probably! If she actually received proper treatment this wouldn’t be a problem, we’d be happy for her to stay but we want to pay private and recover the care she needs ands deserves. If I didn’t call twice today we it would like she’s breaking her CTO. How about we talk about the constant changing of psychiatrists, she had 3 different ones in a matter of months, how is this a good duty of care? Oh and I haven’t even touched on someone in leadership there writing about me on her fb page called me paranoid....."
"Dr. Young is lovely, she's super friendly and easy to talk to. I've only seen her once so far but she is by far my favourite psychiatrist I've seen. The receptionist I spoke to was also very nice and tried to make me feel at ease when I called up feeling guilty about not saying everything in my first session. If you get to choose who you see, I definitely recommend Dr. Young."
