My name is Daphne, and I am a registered Clinical Counsellor with the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation Australia (PACFA). I maintain professionalism in my practice and hold great respect for my clients and their personal narratives. By actively listening, supporting, and encouraging my clients, I aim to develop a therapeutic alliance and help them work towards their own goals.

With expertise in working with both adults and youth, I offer a range of services to address various mental health concerns. During the initial intake session, you will have the opportunity to fill in a "service agreement" and ask any questions you may have. This session also allows me to get to know you better, understand your background, and identify your present and future goals.

It is important to note that after the first session, you may feel emotionally drained as you reflect on your emotions and past experiences. This is completely normal and a sign of progress, even if it doesn't feel like it at the time. If there are topics that are too painful to discuss initially, we can leave them for later sessions when you feel more comfortable and ready to address them. Remember, counselling takes place in a relaxed and non-judgmental space, and I am here to listen and hold space for you whenever you are ready.

As a trained professional, I can help you identify underlying emotions that may be contributing to certain behaviors. Together, we can work towards making positive changes to improve your overall well-being. One of the great aspects of our services is that you do not need a Mental Health Plan or referral to access them. You can self-refer either by phone or through our website. Additionally, some Health Providers cover our services, so it is worth inquiring beforehand if your Health Care provider is a registered provider with us.
