"Clean spacious had what we needed just parking is a little tight but works for what we needed ."
"A good apartment for a stay in Canberra. Located a short walk to Kingston and Manuka shops and restaurants and cafes and bars it has everything you need at your fingertips."
"Awful. Where do I start? In the first room we had, the living area air conditioner was so loud, we couldn't relax or watch the TV without turning the sound right up, which we didn't do as it would have been unfair to our neighbours. We asked for either the air conditioner to be fixed, or to be moved to another room. The latter happened, but not after a very uncomfortable night in our original room. The manager offered to help my wife move our stuff, but eventually, my wife, who is disabled, had to move the stuff. I thought it was not unreasonable to ask for at least a little bit of a refund for the first night, given that it was so uncomfortable. Bear in mind that there was only one air conditioning unit for the entire two bedroom apartment, and we had to have it on, to get cooler air into the bedroom, as it was summer and the apartment was muggy without it being on. It took over a week to get a response from Robert, who, in my opinion, wasn't interested, to say the management said 'no' to our request. Given that we have instant methods of communication these days, waiting over a week to get a response was unacceptable, and showed the lack of interest in assisting a client who had a genuine grievance. I even took a video, which I have played to a number of people, and gives a good account of the noise the air conditioning was making. Every single person was shocked! If Oxley had offered us $100, we would have been happy, but no. Shame on you!"
"My husband and I stayed at the Oxley Apartments for three days and four nights. Be warned take your own tissues! Also try and check your rooms air conditioning before unpacking, we had a room with an extremely noisy air conditioner, so bad we had to move to another room. No help moving as the owner wasn't available, so post cancer not feeling the best I was left to move all our baggage as I needed to go back to bed ASAP. Just finished moving and the owner was then available to help. My husband was off training for Border Force so he would not be home until very late. The owner Richard kept saying he could not hear how noisy the air-conditioner was, we have a taped video clip, very very noisy? As he claims to be deaf, problem is I too am partially deaf and was being driven crazy by how loud the unit was. Also only one air-conditioner for the whole apartment, so you have to sleep with the doors open to cool down. No chance of a sleep in due to noise in the apartment above and in the street. Very dated decor, and no DVD player as advertised. Richard was very avoidant and not interested in any problems to do with the complex, not cheap to stay there either, won't be back."
"Great place to stay in Canberra. Room was nicely furnished. The washing machine and dryer was handy. It would have been nice to have a TV in the bedroom, and also have the sofa bed made up considering we paid an extra $260 to use it for our third child for our stay."
