"Poor management, not enough customer service staff rostered, so there are never any checkouts open, even if you have a huge trolley full of groceries, you are told you “HAVE to” use self serve, whilst front-end staff stand around looking at their phones, or stand there watching customers struggle to juggle filled bags of groceries on the floor of the self-serve area. Self-serve is great in theory, but it is NOT designed for large grocery shops, especially when the machines constantly require staff attending to fix issues! Rude front-end staff that treat customers with disdain and make you feel like you’re inconveniencing them, boxes of stock strewn about for customers to trip over, stock filled on shelves in unopened boxes, so you have to struggle to open the boxes to get to the stock inside, giant cages full of stock taking up 3/4 of the aisle, and then you have to try to dodge staff with giant trolleys filling online orders taking up what’s left of the aisle… I really dread shopping in this store, and wish it wasn’t my local. The only saving grace for this store are the minority of friendly, helpful staff members that go above and beyond for their customers - Hazel, Andrew, and Marion are three absolute assets to this store, and others could learn from their example."

"Does this place have all your essential shopping needs? Sure. So they increase the prices every fortnight and stick a label on the price tag saying "LOW PRICE!" afterwards? Sure. Do they keep just 2 registers and the express 10 items or less open? Of course. Does higher prices and lower overheads = record profits? Of course. But there's nowhere else to go for your shopping way down in the deep dark south of Canberra..."

"Very dissatisfied and disappointed with my regular Woolworths store in Conder. They refused to take return on my purchase of 4 glass jars.(which I purchased only few minutes earlier). The reason or the excuse given was very lame. When I ask the reason for not accepting the returns she said due to Covid. When the supervisor came on my request she too gave the same reason. Then she said I am allowed to exchange for anything else in the store which I agreed to. So for the exchange the Covid is not an issue but for returns convinently it’s all dangerous and contagious. Lot of bull. And there was no notice or information of any kind in the store of “No Returns Accepted ” for the customers. Even the staffs couldn’t find it when I inquired about it. Very bad Mr Store Manager."
