"If I could give zero, I would! Booked months in advance for an 80th for 10 people. Place was completely empty yet not 1 staff member even approached to take our drink order after an hour. Had to ask after an hour to even have our food order taken. After an hour and a half we got our bread and still not even our mezze. Bread for the table was dumped in fromlnt of one person. Nearly 2 hours in and we still haven't received our mains. No wines available, no table service without constantly asking for help. Would walk out if it weren't for the fact that it's an 80th celebration... completely ruined by what I can only describe as faulty towers. Update- the tongs had a hair, and pasta had a fly cooked into it, as shown in photo"

"Very disappointing! Booked several days in advance. On the phone the booking staff were incredibly helpful and welcoming. But on arrival, it was clear we were unexpected. Food was ok, but delivery was very slow which I could accept as it was a busy morning, but overall we were made to feel like an inconvenience. I hoped for a better experience. Won't be rushing back."

"A place I longed to visit and yet was so disappointing. A place with bar in its name and yet no creamy cocktails served was just the start of my dismay. The food was either too oily, (pasta), too dry ( the swordfish), too sweet ( ribs) or just bland ( other pasta). No change allowed to items such as no berry compote with the cheesecake. I received the scoop of ice cream I ordered, ironically with berries.Staff were not familiar with the menu and could not answer questions, one male server's body odour was sickening and having to ask for water more than once made this an unprofessional and so very expensive experience. We had drinks spilled. Staff not seamless at all.Never to be repeated. Happy 65th to me!! Bonus though, no dry cleaning bill as I ate very little."

"Chifley's Bar & Grill was the perfect venue for our quiet anniversary celebration. The ambience gave an elegant and pleasant feel for the occasion. The food was awesome, the service efficient. We will definitely return!"

"Starter: Crispy Salt and Pepper Squid Main: Organic Pasta Main: 300g Angus Sirloin Main: 250g Tajimi Wagyu Rump Salad: Classic Caesar Salad Dessert: White Chocolate & Coconut Panna Cotta The food was generally excellent - seasoned well and made with care. The garnishes on the steaks were especially tasty, there was a thick and creamy puree with truffle (I think) oil that stepped things up a notch. However the steaks did not meet our standards and was cooked unevenly, yet it was still tender. The panna cotta impressed me the most though, the plate garnishes never fail to impress. The service was adequate for what was possible. The restaurant suffered from a lack of waiters/waitresses. The waiter that served us was kind, nice and helpful."
