Reviews
"Unfortunately we had a really poor experience here. We ordered a crab fried rice. The menu said it came with ‘seasonal vegetables’ but it did not. When I asked the staff, they said it was “salt and chicken powder”. Later, they told me it was garlic and onion, though these are clearly listed separately on the menu. Staff were very unhelpful about it and charged us full price. Otherwise, the interior is nice but very noisy when full. Service was generally friendly but took 20 mins to take our order. The main dishes came 5 minutes apart so one person’s dish wasn’t as hot while we waited. Not amazing."
"We came as a group of four and shared several dishes. All dishes were on point. I will be coming back. This might have to be my favourite Thai in Canberra. I'll update this post with extra dishes and extra reviews."
"Visiting from Sydney and we heard so much about Champi that we just had to visit. Great vibe, service and the food was the best Asian I have eaten. Highly recommend the Duck A La Orange and we ate lots of the entree and you can't go wrong with any of them (the scallops, curry puff being my fav). Great to see a Family run restaurant with standards of fine dining. Highly recommend! Will be back!"
"bringing authentic Lao and southeast Asian flavors and a chic modern concept! Thoroughly enjoyed dining at Champi with my husband, everything was cooked to perfection"
"The food was interesting and tasty ! The curry was spicy and flavorful! When busy, the noise was way too loud, you can’t even talk to others, need to shout out Service was attentive, but I don’t feel good with the waitress who assumed we won’t order drinks and was going to took the wine glass again since we seated. And also when I requested takeout box the lady need to say twice that need to charge 20 cent per box , I’m more than happy to pay but just don’t estimate someone by its dress. Overall was good experience."
