About the Business
Welcome to Sonas Early Learning & Care Midland, located at 8 Clayton Street. As an establishment and point of interest, we are dedicated to providing the highest quality care for your children in a happy, caring, and supportive environment.
Our staff at Sonas are experts at helping children overcome any anxiety they may have about being in a new environment. We love spending quality time with your children and believe in engaging with them while having fun at the same time. Our ultimate aim is to treasure and protect the childhood experiences of our most precious little ones.
At Sonas, we continuously reflect upon our practices to ensure that you and your children receive the highest quality care in line with our service philosophy, the National Quality Framework, and research on current best practices. Our approach is underpinned by Sonas Learning Studios, which provide open-ended learning environments for children to engage, explore, learn, and develop their skills and abilities.
For our babies, we provide a safe space for them to develop their skills and ensure that all their care requirements are met on a daily basis. They also have the opportunity to explore other studios and engage with older children, including sharing meals in our family room.
When it comes to transitioning from the nest to the larger Sonas Family Group, we consider each child's social and emotional readiness, as well as their achievement of key motor skills. This transition typically occurs between 15 to 18 months, but can vary depending on each child's individual journey.
Our Zen studio offers a quiet space for children to engage in independent experiences such as puzzles, sand trays, and reading. It also serves as a sleep and rest space, incorporating yoga and mindfulness activities. In the STEM studio, children can explore science, technology, engineering, and mathematical concepts through hands-on experiences tailored to their needs, interests, and abilities.
The Arts studio is where children can unleash their creativity through visual, dramatic, and expressive arts. Our outdoor garden not only provides space for physical play, but also incorporates elements from all our other studios to enhance the learning experience. In our family room, we foster independence and self-help skills, encouraging children to engage in meaningful mealtimes and learn important social skills and etiquette.
At Sonas, we believe in building a child's community. By allowing children to build relationships with children of different age groups, we introduce new skills that support their growth and thriving. We believe that there are two lasting bequests we can give our children: roots and wings. At Sonas, we strive to provide both.
Join us at Sonas Early Learning & Care Midland, where your child's happiness, growth, and development are our top priorities.

"Our daughter has been going here for 3 weeks and she is loving it. Comes home happy and they have helped us develop a routine for our daughter. They listen to our needs, also they have helped our daughter with tummy time so much to the point she is now enjoying it. Love the science experiments they are doing with the nest room. Very happy to see the educators treat the children equally. The centre manager is excellent and that I could not highly recommend this Centre. There is a sense of calmness Vibe in the centre and on-top they take parent calls throughout the day for an update. The best thing this Childcare centre has done is the app. They take photos of your child throughout the day, record the food, bottles, nappies etc. It is very reassuring for new mums but for any parent out there. I hope there is some fun exciting activities coming up especially with summer just around the corner for water play time. 5 Star child care centre and my daughter felt comfortable at the tour compared to the other childcare centres."
"Very Toxic environment For Manager- She is really very nice , humble and great person. But internal staff- such as room educators and assistant educators are very harsh and rude with the agency staff (relief ). At Sonas it is very toxic environment for agency staff. They behave us like we are their cleaner. For whole 8 hours shift they put agency staff to do cleaning in whole centre which is very rude. they need to know we are also educators not the cleaner. I went their once and for whole day, I cleaned and mopped their stem room, 2 kids toilets, 2 staff toilets, kitchen, morning tea cleaning, lunch cleaning . So in total eight hours shift, i did cleaning whole day and when i came home my feets and legs were hurting badly. It is a request and advise to the Sonas staff to show some respect to the agency staff as they are also educators like you. Don't be so harsh on them. I hope you would be welcoming and respecting to the relief staff next time, as they come to help you guys when you are running short staff."
"Not good"
"My son has been going here for a few months now and absolutely loves it. The educators are lovely, he eats great food and clearly enjoys going there. I love that it's new, very clean and they always set up the environment in a fun way, so the kids have something new to explore every day. Highly recommend"
"I would avoid this centre. We had a few minor issues, but regularly saw the child to adult ratios not adhered to. Such as 20 kids in one room with one adult. But when I witnessed an educator yell at a baby to shut up when crying, that was a major redflag for me."
