"We stayed in the first room down hallway. What a delight. Lake view large windows. Country style just lovely"
"It was a bit difficult trying to find the place, there’s no sign or anything to say lodging. Called for help and sounded a bit abrupt. The room was spacious, short walk to the lake nearby and you could see ducks straddling along. Very quiet and serene."
"This is our 4th time staying at the Lodge and we just keep coming back. It's beautiful and quite location situated out in the bush of Gidgegannup. The country style rooms are just lovely and clean. Great views of the lake and the owners Robyn and Peter are lovely. The home made raisin toast is delicious. Noble Falls Tavern and Parkerville Tavern are a 10min drive if you want to go for lunch and dinner. Highly recommend this place for a couple no kids!!"
"No view of lake - was in room added to side of carport! Was still charged full price for sub-standard room We would not have paid the top rate if we knew we were staying in a carport! If you advertise your property as "Lake View" then it is expected that we can view a lake - Not just a driveway If we were told that all of your "Lake View" rooms were fully booked and that we were going to be put in the carport - at least we could have made a decision to stay or to go somewhere else. Or - at least charge a fraction of the full price for the option. We only came because we wanted to stay in a room overlooking trees and the lake. We had other options to stay close by, but paid the extra $$$ to get the view and the ambience. We were put in a room with only 1 window and the window faced away from the lake and down the driveway! On top of that ... There were no tea towels to wipe our cups and dishes. There was no dishwashing liquid There was only 1 rubbish bin and that was in the toilet. The TV was tiny and almost unwatchable from a distance (smaller than my computer monitor) The bed was very hard and not comfortable The premium price charged for the room was not reflective of the room standard. If I had of been told that we were being put in a carport addition, I would have spent less money and stayed in a cabin at a caravan park closeby. Very disappointed with the accommodation and that my wife and I were charged the same amount of money as the other guests who actually got a room with a lake view. I believe if you are to keep offering this room to future guests, then you should make them well aware that they are NOT getting a view of the lake - that the room is NOT like the other rooms in the photos and, as a reflection of that, the guests should be paying substantially less to reflect the different level of quality."
