Reviews
"The places is in a great location in Fremantle, 5 minutes away from the port and with a lot of entertainment around it. The price is nice, however it's pretty noisy, with music being played loud until late in night and the rooms aren't too clean. I would recommend if you are planning a visit to Fremantle and don't wanna spend much."
"ATTENTION, IMPORTANT TO READ. I want to tell how this hostel acts when a person tells the truth and puts a bad review. I was 3 days in this hostel. I am a person who works 12 hours a day from Monday to Saturday, so he was the first to go to bed and the first to get up. I made this reservation through Booking so after these 3 long days I put a review telling my unpleasant experience. This hostel, instead of taking responsibility, tries to discredit comments, stating that I was drunk, that I was bothering other guests and that they even had to kick me out. COMPLETELY LIE. I felt a huge rage and anger, I just wanted to go there and be told to my face... but it's not worth it. Then I was reviewing and they use this technique on a lot of bad comments to discredit the comment. In that review I only put what I saw and lived. Also say that I was in many hostels before this one. I put the bad state in which the bathrooms and the kitchen are, since it was impossible for me to use them, completely dirty, third world bathrooms, very old, dirty and unhygienic, impossible to shower, kitchen without enough crockery for everyone apart from dirty and disgusting, everything very dirty and bad smell, refrigerators also with a rotten smell. Uncaring, rude and very unprofessional staff. Drunk people and noise from the afternoon until early morning, in fact I couldn't sleep and when I got up to work there were people still drinking and yelling. The people who rate this hostel more than 1, I assure you that they are bought. The most unpleasant experience I had in Australia. If anyone has any doubts I encourage you to check it out."
"I stayed for a week, the hostel is ok for a hostel. Prices are way too high for what it offers compared to other hostels in the area that are way cleaner and organized and have a pool. I paid 20$ cash for the deposit and the receptionist got offended that I asked for a proof of payment. Kitchen is very big and well organized except for all the smelly dirty towels where you’re supposed to clean your dishes. Bathrooms are cleaned everyday but they need urgent repairs. You can tell the place is falling to pieces but the owner is just trying to get their bucks and not reinvesting on the place, which is a real shame because it could be great. Laundry room is very good, you can pay by card. Overall is a great place to meet people but I wouldn’t stay for more than a few days and head somewhere else for longer term. (Ps. Absolutely discussing the replies of the hostel to some of the negative reviews, if you can’t take useful feedback to improve your establishment than you shouldn’t have a business)"
"It's a rip off, don't stay here. You get free laundry, if you leave a good review which explains the contradicting reviews here. This exploit of backpackers to spread false reviews about how great this place is disgusts me the most. I've been travelling for more then 2,5 years and stayed at hostels all over but this one is really not worth it's money. Unfortunately I've booked 3 days here so I've had enough time to watch how this place is run. The toilets are really filthy and there's mold all over the bathroom ceiling. You could see rubbish and food going bad in the kitchen everyday. They threaten you with a 40$ fee if you don't clean and dry your dishes yet they are not able to supply any dry & clean(!) towels to dry your stuff - It seemed like no one cared anyways so the dishes often remain dirty in the sink or end up dirty in the cupboard again. The walls are impressively thin, so forget about going to bed before 12am. It really just seems like no one here cares about the state of this place, which is truly a shame. I'm not a fan of writing bad reviews at all but in this case truth had to be told. The place has potential and could easily be upgraded with little effort and money."
