Welcome to Playford College, a vibrant and dynamic educational institution located in Elizabeth, Australia. Our recently completed Year 7 to 12 teaching and learning facilities on the corner of Woodford and Dauntsey Roads have brought new excitement to our students and invigorated our entire school community.
We are thrilled to announce the opening of our new 'Barakaland' playground, officially inaugurated by the South Australian Minister for Education, Blair Boyer. Our students are absolutely loving the new structures and eagerly line up every day to enjoy them.
At Playford College, we are committed to providing a nurturing environment that focuses on Learning, Faith, and Nurture for every child. Our goal is to develop confident, curious, and resilient individuals who can follow their chosen path and make positive contributions to the wider community.
Our dedicated staff members genuinely care for all our students and have a deep understanding of their holistic development. Our class teachers are well-versed in the best practices of effective learning and are continuously updated on the latest research in wellbeing. Together, we form a team of passionate professionals who work collaboratively to support and nurture students and families.
We have a dedicated team that provides additional support to students with learning needs, both within and outside the classroom. This includes specialized programs such as MiniLit and MacqLit sessions, designed to help children learning English as an additional language succeed.
At Playford College, we firmly believe that excellent teaching is the most powerful influence on children's learning. Our Primary School staff work in teaching teams and are always exploring innovative teaching practices to enhance student learning. Our Secondary School teachers continually strive to make learning accessible and rigorous during their specialized lessons.
We believe in the power of inquiry-based learning and recognize the importance of making connections in our brains for lifelong learning. Our aim is to foster critical and creative thinking skills in our students, empowering them to become effective problem solvers. These skills are essential for success in adult life.
Playford College is proud to be the first Islamic school in South Australia and the third in Australia to support the Jaafari School of Thoughts traditions. However, we warmly welcome families from all faith traditions to become part of our inclusive community.

"it’s not that bad but it just needs a little bit more work, the kids can actually be mean"
"This school was actually great at first everyone was kind but as the years went it became so bad. Secondary school is so toxic at playford college if you are a person that isn't popular or a loud person u will be treated so bad. Coming to this school was like pain having to deal with all these selfish and 2 faced students. The teachers are lazy and don't know how to control a class and principal won't do much if u are getting bullied."
"I started going there in 2017 when the school first started until 2019. I was one of the first people at the school. When I was there it was a pretty good school, the students were cool, most of the teachers were cool and the place was alright. The photos i see now are very different to when i was there so idk if its still the same. I hope I can come for a visit soon. Also i was the son of sheikh idrees the og's know who that is."
"I have been at this school for a good time to write an honest review. This school was good near the start of its time, but overtime it drastically got worse to the point where I don’t want to be here anymore. The teachers are always lazy and never treat certain students with the same respect they hope to get back. The deputy principal is the same and she needs to be humbled. Also to add, this school has an issue with its gender equality as women are treated 100x better than men and they simply don’t care even though it’s clear as water they treat people differently. I wouldn’t recommend this school to Muslim students who want to feel welcomed and treated with respect from their teachers."
"Amazing school. Our son is there for 4 years. Never had any issues. Principal and deputy principal are both lovely and hard working. We would like to say a big THANK YOU for your wisdom and heart, and all the sweet things that you do for our child. We will always be grateful to you for being there for our child. We might often forget to tell you how much we appreciate you. ❤️❤️❤️"
