Welcome to Northgate Veterinary Surgery, an independent, family-run establishment that has been serving the community for over 35 years. Located on Ridge Street in Northgate, Brisbane, we are a trusted companion animal practice dedicated to providing top-quality veterinary care for your beloved pets.

At Northgate Vet Surgery, we understand the special bond between you and your furry friends. Our team, led by Drs Bernie and Megan Bredhauer, is committed to delivering personalized and professional care, just like your local family doctor. Since taking ownership in 2003, we have worked tirelessly to ensure the well-being of pets in Northgate and beyond.

Recently, we have moved to our own new location at 98 Ridge Street, right on the corner of Northgate Road and Ridge Street. This historic building was once the original general store of the area, dating back to the late 1800s/early 1900s. We take immense pride in its heritage and history, and we are excited to continue our veterinary services in this new space.

We offer a wide range of veterinary services to cater to the needs of dogs, cats, small mammals, wildlife, birds, and reptiles in Inner North Brisbane. From preventative health programs to modern diagnostics, medical therapies, surgical procedures, and dentistry, we have you covered. Your pet's well-being is our priority, and we approach every treatment with care and compassion.

Our opening hours are Monday to Friday from 8:00am to 6:30pm, with vet consultations available by appointment from 8:30am. On Saturdays, we are open from 8:30am to 1:00pm. Please note that we are closed on Sundays and public holidays. You can find us at 98 Ridge Street, Northgate, Brisbane, Queensland, 4013, at the corner of Northgate Road and Ridge Street. We provide client parking at the rear of the clinic for your convenience.

In addition to our Northgate location, we also have a second practice called St Vincent's Vets at 84 St Vincent's Road in Virginia. This branch serves pets in Banyo, Virginia, Nudgee, and beyond. St Vincent's Vets can be reached at 3177 1299.

For our clients, we offer secure off-street parking in our very own carpark located next door to the clinic, accessible from Northgate Road.
