"I know a lot of people love this place but I don’t think it’s amazing. Hotcakes were good, wasn’t dry. Crispy outsides and lots of maple. Eggs bene maple bacon: sauce and bacon was delicious but portion was very small for the high cost. Matcha latte, recommended. 10% surcharge on weekends. Bathroom is located on the outside. Book in advance if you can as it’s usually busy. We walked in and got seats by the bar."
"Great food, great coffee and great people. I ordered the chili eggs and my partner the avocado toast (or something like that). The chili eggs were amazing! Great balance of flavor with the harissa and the punch from the fetta. Only thing (not major) is that it was difficult cutting the bread without a proper knife. The people who served us were incredibly kind and made us feel really happy. Definitely recommend it."
"A lovely juxtaposition of new and old with the conversion of terrace house to cafe encased in a stunning suer modern residential development. Arriving was a joy with our booking (definitely recommend booking on the weekend) and the friendly greeting. The menu is great - unusual takes on delicious melb cafe favourites. We had the Yuzu trout and the special which was a perfectly spiced pork baguette. Flavours were beautiful, service was quick but not rushed. Coffee also great - almond latte up to melb standards and for something different we also enjoyed the bon bon - a combination of espresso with condensed milk which was surprisingly super nice. Thanks team we will visit again soon!"
"The table stakes for a Melbourne cafe, great coffee? Check. Other than that, the menu has refreshingly different takes on standard items, which surprise and delight. Physically, there is indoor seating in both the old building and a modern new side, as well as outdoors complete with blankets and heaters during colder times. Efficient, friendly service."
"Presentation was amazing, it really lived up to their Insta posts. As I was eating the eggs, I noticed there’s meat. I questioned the staff to be told it’s pork when I didn’t ask for meat (especially that I don’t eat it - it was an add on on the menu). They were very apologetic and nice about it, but it kinda turned me off a little. Besides, I had a great experience and enjoyed all the rest"
