Sushi Station by Mistaboo

"I've notice a change of new management since we came in last week to dine in. Been eating here for 4 years as a local and I've notice straight away the quality of fresh salmon is very poor now. The colour is so pale and tasteless and no longer fresh or acceptable quality. I won't be coming back for a while . ."

"This place has always been great. It has a different owner now, but they have thankfully kept the same good system and food. The ordering system with the tablets works really well, and there are always good options on the conveyor belt as well."

"Very disappointed with this business. After seeing a movie at Balmoral cinema. I thought that I might get some standard sushi rolls to take home, to have later when family were coming over. ( tuna sushi rolls should be the basic all sushi shops should have). But I was told by male attendant that the longer ( standard tuna rolls were off the menu). I could only purchase pre-made already cut up packs. This is not what I wanted. I would have waited for them to be made. But was told that “ we can’t help you. Different menu now”. I walked down a little further along Oxford Street and found a different sushi shop, who had exactly what I wanted at a very reasonable price. I know where I’ll be getting my sushi from next time I visit Bulimba. Not good enough Sushi Station by Mistaboo. Please do better!"

"I had an unfortunate experience at "Sushi Station" restaurant due to the terrible attention I received from the staff. From the moment I arrived I felt like I was not welcome in the place. The staff seemed distracted and uninterested in serving me, and I had to wait a long time before being served. When I was finally served, the owner seemed disinterested in my order and did not give me any recommendations on the items on the menu. Then when I received my food the order was wrong and I had to wait even longer for the correct dish to be brought to me. Also, throughout the dinner, the staff were chatting loudly and laughing, making the atmosphere loud and uncomfortable. When I tried to get the attention of the staff to let them know my complaint, I was completely ignored. In short, my experience here was very disappointing due to the terrible care I received from the staff. I would not recommend this place to anyone as it is apparent that customer satisfaction is not a priority for them. If you want to be treated like a dog, you are in the right place."

"I received a plate of edamame with no bowl for the pods, I pressed the ‘call staff’ button after which I visibly saw the gent who works the floor roll his eyes and when I asked for a bowl I was informed, ‘No! you don’t need a bowl, you can just leave them on the table’. No yourself! Thank you sir, I prefer not to leave my food scraps on the table like an animal as I eat. I think this guy needs a holiday, or failing that an entirely new line of work. Food was average bordering on not great, even my three year old, who usually loves his sushi, was discerning enough not to eat his rolls and the table was sticky to boot."
