"We were really looking forward to their sushi train and it wasn’t operating and seating was blocked off, no notification of signs anywhere to let you know. Sushi was good and staff were efficient."
"Prices have gone up for the bento box, which whilst not great is excusable. But the quality has noticeably gone right down. Bento has way more rice now than kale salad, no more vege tempura, chicken terryaki not cooked right :("
"Ohayo gozaimasu, And Welcome to Sushi Nori. First up, I just have to say that this is by far the best sushi I have ever had. Honestly, the effort made by the chef to turn a regular meal into little works of art, is just incredible. When I strolled on down to King street looking for a quick bite to eat after working nearby at the RNA Showgrounds, I wasn't really expecting anything exciting. Even as I stood at the front of Sushi Nori, I felt that it may not be the best quality food. Well I was certainly wrong about that. As someone who is trying to maintain a balance between what I feel is right morally, ethically, and spiritually, when it comes to eating food, I find it very challenging when dining out because of the guilt I feel when eating the flesh of the animals I love. However, if an animal of this world is going to sacrifice it's body for a meal, then Sushi Nori will certainly give it a grande hurrah! These mini-meals are respectfully presented in a manner that resembles fine art. Even the salmon themselves would be proud of the care that has been taken to prepare and display these meals. There was attention to detail on every plate, accompanied with cute and colourful garnish that you won't find at any other sushi establishment. All plates are $6, which makes it easy to keep count of what you are spending, and if you feel this is expensive compared to the $3.80 plates that you may find elsewhere, well let me tell you, this is a step above the rest, And I have been eating sushi since it was introduced to Australia. I ordered salmon sashimi, miso soup (best I've ever had), and a small bowl of sushi rice. Of course I attacked the pickled ginger like it was going out of fashion, that pink stuff is just heavenly. I only wish that they would offer to serve it in a little dish to avoid the plastic waste. The staff are friendly, and although their broken English can be difficult to decipher, you can just grab the menu and point and smile. It's a great place for folks who prefer a humble, yet quiet, eating experience. The shop itself is tastefully designed, very modern, but not too pretentious considering its location. In fact, pretentious isn't even a word I would place anywhere near Sushi Nori, these people are just lovely. The sushi train is only open for lunch, closing at 2:45pm, so if you are a sushi train fan, then may I suggest you get in for lunch, as dinner is À la carte only. Sushi Nori, a fish's best friend after passing life from the ocean and into your soul. Eat slow, respect the food, and live happily."
"Good sushi train with variety of options. Two plate types - regular are $4.50 and premium (tuna tower, sashimi etc) are $8. The seafood is fresh and good quality. A little on expensive side for some plates as standard prices but generally good. Lots of parking available but I suggest using the King St parking building instead of street as you get the first 2(?) hours free."
