"Terrible. Filthy, old, run down, cockroaches, mould, lack of facilities. Uncomfortable beds. Poor security. Buildings are very neglected and should be condemned."
"Edit: I've complained to owner, Agoda, fair trade ombudsman and various Queensland authorities. They refuse to shut this place down and are protecting the owner. Some of the things wrong with this place: * There is a massive stench in this room when you walk in. It smells of urine and chemicals, possibly fumigation. I did not do a u turn and cancel the booking because it was late, I was tired, and there's no one at reception anyway. Instead, I turned on the AC and opened the window to aerate. My nose never quite got used to the smell. Like Swae Lee said, it's unforgettable. * The bedsheets have tiny hairs on them The owner said sheets have been washed, unfortunately, the hairs don't get removed in the wash. I demanded new sheets and followed him to the linen cupboard. He gave me new sheets, pillowcases etc. These also had tiny human hairs all over them. I slept on top of the 2 towels provided, maybe these were dirty too, who knows. * The mattress is an IKEA aircell mattress, decent, no stains, relatively new. The mattress protector was ripped but clean. The sheet overlaying this had some faint yellow stains which were nonetheless disgusting. Did not photograph well. * The fridge had not been cleaned and there was opened and aging ( not in a good way) cheese in it. * The cups and saucers have not been cleaned. * There is no drinkable water here, you have to buy bottled water at supermarket. * The only tap is peeling and leaking ( see photo) * The shower has built up limescale at the bottom. It also has black mould everywhere, not just in one spot. This is a health hazard. * Many cockroaches ( see pic) * The walls are paper thin and people take showers at odd hours of the night. This guy was constantly expectorating phlegm in the shower. * It says no smoking in the signage but lots of smokers out the front and hallways stink of smoke. . *Construction everywhere. There is constant hammering during the daytime. The owner/manager ( Doh Son) * Failed to provide clean sheets * Refused to come inspect dirty room * Failed to provide cleaner to come inspect and clean room * Refused to meet up with me on time to cancel room and also failed to inform me of cancellation policies. * Was quite belligerent and verbally abusive on the phone and hung up. Did not want to give refund. He did not want to listen about black mould/ limescale/ leaky tap. * He also started attacking me for emptying my rubbish bin, which I tied up and left for the cleaning ladies. Any contents in the open basket bin is a food source for the roaches. I wouldn't have needed to do that if the place was sanitary. Pros: * AC works well * toilet commode is not old. * great location. Many restaurants & next to river. * For the cost of a dorm room, you get a bit more privacy. * If 2 ppl stay, it's $35 per night. * Communal space: front area for smokers, kitchenette & microwave & dining area downstairs * ample parking space. * Bus stop is directly in front of inn, like literally on doorstep."
"The worst place (in the planet) to lodge in. I couldn't even spend a couple of minutes in the rooms (two). It's disgusting, suffocating with all sorts of mixture of smell such as smoking, urine, alcohol, and what not? I asked the owner of the motel whether he can do anything to get rid of the terrible smell, but he said unfortunately nothing can be done about it, and asked me to contact Agoda (through who the booking was done) for the full refund. I contacted Agoda for the refund but they didn't respond to me at all. I had to sacrifice two family rooms for nothing because of Agoda's flattering ads. Please stay away from this motel and Agoda's false ads - such a waste of money. I would give them 0 (Zero) rating."

"Whilst some would argue that the room was somewhat adequate for the price, it did not live up to the photos provided online, one of the outlets was not functional, our towels were still damp before using them, the bathroom floor was wet, and the room had an off-putting odour throughout upon arrival. At around 11pm the smoke alarm in our room also began to chirp, preventing us from sleeping. A staff member arrived at our room and stood on a chair, in attempting to remove the smoke alarm they shattered it with a hunting knife, covering our personal items and bedding in plastic flakes which they cleaned up with a wad of wet tissues. This commotion also woke up a few other guests, especially when the employee pressed the test button, setting off all the other interconnected alarms in the building. We were then left without any smoke alarm in our room for the night. Needless to say I will not be staying here again, and would not recommend the hotel to anyone. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't tempted to charge back."
