About the Business
Welcome to Blackwattle Farm Bed & Breakfast and Farmstay, located at 123 Old Peachester Road in Beerwah, Australia. Situated on 20 acres at the base of the stunning Glasshouse Mountains, our establishment offers a perfect base to explore the Sunshine Coast. With Australia Zoo just 10 minutes down the road and the beautiful hinterlands and sandy beaches only 30 minutes away, there is plenty to see and do during your stay.
At Blackwattle Farm, we are a small hobby farm with a focus on sustainability and maintaining a low ecological footprint. We take pride in our animals, fresh and organic produce, and love sharing our farm experiences with others. Our goal is to provide a fun and family-friendly environment for everyone to enjoy, relax, and unwind.
During your stay, you are invited to join us in feeding the animals each morning, collecting fresh eggs from our hens, and harvesting from our organic gardens. We provide a generous breakfast that includes honey straight from the farm and delicious homemade jams. Additionally, we offer a farm-gate where you can purchase extra homemade goodies or take home a special souvenir.
Each accommodation at Blackwattle Farm is private, with its own amenities and an outdoor fire pit. Along with the generous breakfast, our animal feeding tour is also included in the package.
While staying with us, there is so much to explore in the region. Apart from our daily animal feeding tours, you can visit the famous Australia Zoo, located just a short 10-minute drive away. As we are only 25-30 minutes from the Sunshine Coast Beaches and Hinterland, you can also explore the beautiful villages, national parks, and waterfalls in the area. Don't forget to check out the local shops, cafes, and markets for a taste of the region's offerings.
At Blackwattle Farm, we are a young family embracing a self-sustainable lifestyle. We aim to grow as much of our own food as possible, including meat, eggs, fruit, honey, jams, vegetables, and herbs. Our two cows even provide us with milk, cheese, and butter. By eating seasonally and supporting local farmers, we strive to minimize our food miles and have a positive impact on the environment.
Our dream for Blackwattle Farm was born in 2015 when we decided to pursue a lifestyle change. We are passionate about a sustainable and hands-on way of living, and we love being able to share our "back to basics" dream with our visitors. Though it can be a handful at times, we wouldn't have it any other way.
Come and experience the beauty of Blackwattle Farm Bed & Breakfast and Farmstay. We look forward to welcoming you to our little slice of paradise at 123 Old Peachester Road, Beerwah, Queensland.

"Accommodation was super clean and tidy. The tiny houses were in brand new condition, with microwave, BBQ, undercover dining area. I couldn't believe when I saw they even have air con installed, definitely not camping. Loads of activities for the kids and. Large grassy areas for kids to run around."
"Blackwattle Farm is an absolute treat - quiet and peaceful, only punctuated by the sounds of wildlife and farm animals. The host, Emma, is so hospitable - nothing was too much trouble. We loved hearing about how the farm has evolved over time, Emma’s plans for the future, and her commitment to sustainability. Our kids loved the farm tour and feeding the pigs, ducks, goats, cows, alpacas, and chickens. We were lucky that some ducklings hatched during our stay - so cute! The accommodation is very private; beautifully appointed; and spotlessly clean. It’s less than 10 minutes to the nearest Woolworths and Aldi. We enjoyed day trips to Aussie World, Montville and the beach. We’re hoping to come back again with friends and book out the entire place. Loved it!"
"Blackwattle Farm is a wonderful family friendly farmstay. We highly recommend spending a few days here. Eggs, bread, milk, butter, spreads, cereal, fruit and other fixings are all provided, so you'll just need to sort lunches and dinners. You can harvest from the garden for sides if you want something really fresh. We had meal planned prior to arriving but ended up just using the grill every night. The location is excellent, and showing/feeding the animals with our little one was definitely the highlight. Managed to sneak in a campfire on our last night. We stayed in the rainforest cabin, and will certainly return."
"Blackwattle Farm is so lovely, all the accommodation is amazing but the Tall Gum tinyhouse was perfect. The house is stocked with bits and pieces to give the stay a personal touch and it is perfectly decorated. Host Emma offers tours of the farm as well as allowing guests to come along while they feed the farm animals of an afternoon. I will definitely stay again in the future."
"My wife and I stayed in the new tiny house (Tall Gum Tiny House) a couple of nights ago and it was fabulous. Emma, the owner, was super friendly. The tiny house is well designed, clean, the mattress was very comfortable, and it had an outdoor bathtub on the deck! At 5pm you can join Emma and help feed the farm animals including goats, pigs, cows, alpaca, ducks, and more. Great value and highly recommended. Thanks, Emma! I almost forgot to mention the stunning view of the Glasshouse Mountains..."
