At our centre, you will find a team of highly qualified and experienced nurses who specialize in midwifery and maternal and child health. They possess the knowledge and expertise to address all aspects of child and family health, ensuring that you receive the best care possible.

Confidentiality is of utmost importance to us, and we handle all your personal information in accordance with the Privacy and Data Protection Act 2014 and the Health Records Act 2001. Rest assured that your privacy is our priority.

Our centre also offers the MCH Line, a 24-hour telephone service staffed by qualified Maternal and Child Health nurses. This invaluable service provides support to Victorian families with health and parenting concerns for children from birth to school age. We can connect you to universal and enhanced maternal and child health programs, as well as assist with referrals to various health and family support services, including emergency services.

For families in need of additional support, we provide a home visiting program delivered by an Enhanced Maternal and Child Health Nurse. This program not only offers the necessary assistance but also provides an opportunity to connect with local families and build lasting friendships. Partners are also welcome to attend, and your Maternal and Child Health Nurse will ensure that everyone is included.

As your child grows, we understand that sleep and settling concerns may arise. To address this, the Victorian Government has invested in additional support for families, and we have developed an evidenced-informed sleep and settling model of care. We offer information sessions at various developmental stages to guide and support parents and caregivers.

Additionally, we offer free sessions focusing on introducing solid food to babies and toddlers. Join us at the South Melbourne Market, where our Maternal and Child Health Nurse will be available to answer any questions and provide food suggestions to support you on your food journey with your baby. These sessions take place on the 4th Wednesday of every month at 9.30 am in the Food Hall.
