Marina Lunga MARRICKVILLE

"We were lucky to walk in without a booking and there was a table for us. The atmosphere is lively, every other table was full at the time. The background music was a good volume so it wasn't distracting. The service was very friendly and attentive, it was quite busy and so we were offered water for the table but it was forgotten and I had to ask for it later, but they were apologetic so it was no problem. The server did warn us that it was busy so there might be a wait, but it didn't feel like we were waiting too long at all, all the food came out in a timely manner. The food was good. Sensibly sized portions, the Marina Lunga salad was tasty, and the red wine went down beautifully. For the mains, my chilli prawn pasta was delicious with a red sauce with the right amount of chilli, and plenty of prawns. It tasted fresh and it was very hot so I could tell it came straight from the kitchen to the table. The mussel pasta also had a generous amount of mussels. The affogato for dessert really hit the spot and the serving of hazelnut gelato was generous and delicious. One of my dining partners was a bit disappointed that his plate was taken away before he had finished, probably could have been avoided with a quick check before beginning to clear the table. Overall the experience was good and I would definitely come again if I'm looking for Italian in Marrickville!"

"Held a family 21st Birthday Lunch here and it was absolutely fabulous. From the outset dealing with Jennifer was easy and all my queries, requests were responded too promptly. We turned up on the day and met Jimmy who took great care of our group of 25. The food was sensational and there was plenty of it. Everyone raved about the garlic pizza, meatballs, pasta and pizza and impressed with the wine list. Vegetarians and GF well catered for. The family would have stayed all night which I think is a great testament to the staff, food and ambience. Will certainly be back and highly recommend."

"Ordered takeaway in person on a Friday night. Staff were friendly, and the service was quick (waited about 10 min). Ordered a four season pizza: was very tasty with fresh ingredients. It wasn't greasy or doughy, and the price was reasonable, so I'll be back to order again!"

"Ordered the lasagna, it had way too much cheese, the pesto pasta was sweet?? and for $30??? (Cause if you order the homemade gnocchi its and extra $4) and the pepperoni pizza had very little sauce and the pepperoni tasted a little weird... but the service was fast and the staff were polite, also the food looked great on presentation."
