Safe Haven Psychology
About the Business
Welcome to Safe Haven Psychology, located at 32 Delhi Road, North Ryde, Australia. As an establishment focused on health and well-being, we aim to provide a safe and confidential space for individuals to explore their internal worlds and discover the joy of living.
At Safe Haven Psychology, we believe that every person has the inherent wisdom and capability to live their best life. With the right support, we can help you find meaning in whole-hearted living and reclaim your vitality.
Our vision is to create an open platform for individuals to engage in therapy as a social practice that encourages mental wealth and inner growth. We strive to break down the barriers of judgment, stigma, and pathology, offering a safe space for anyone seeking to understand themselves better.
No matter your reasons for seeking therapy, whether it be curiosity, encouragement from a loved one, or struggling with a difficult issue, we want you to know that any reason is valid. You don't have to suffer in silence β our team of psychologists is here to connect and engage with you.
Drawing upon the wisdom of existential-humanistic psychology, we understand that much of our suffering stems from the fundamental truths of freedom, death, isolation, and meaninglessness. We are here to help you navigate through these challenges and find a sense of peace and fulfillment.
Our lead psychologist, Joyce, is a registered and endorsed Clinical Psychologist in Sydney. With advanced training in various therapeutic approaches such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, Schema Therapy, and Trauma-Informed Care, Joyce has the expertise to guide you through issues such as anxiety, depression, stress, grief and loss, trauma, relationship conflicts, cultural integration difficulties, life transitions, sexual/gender identity, and self-acceptance.
Joyce understands that therapy is not a one-size-fits-all approach, and she tailors her methods to suit the unique needs of each client. By combining evidence-based therapy with existential and experiential exercises, she aims to bring about meaningful changes by focusing on your experience and process.
With years of professional development and a warm, empathetic, and compassionate nature, Joyce forms authentic relationships with her clients. She believes that partnering with her clients in therapy is a way to honor the past, reclaim the present, and align the future.
If you would like to learn more about Joyce and her approach, please visit the "About" section on our website. As a certified member of the Australian Clinical Psychology Association, you can trust that you are in capable hands.
Lastly, we want to remind you that if you or someone you know is in immediate danger, please dial Triple Zero (000) or go to the nearest hospital emergency department.
We also acknowledge and pay respect to the traditional owners of the land throughout Australia and their enduring connection to the land, sea, and community. We honor their cultures and the elders who have come before us.
