In addition, dedicated 'MRS' services personnel are present on-site each night to ensure the safety and well-being of all residents.

As a proud community, Jackomos Hall embraces its identity with its official color, red, and its mascot, the long neck turtle, which holds cultural significance for the Yorta Yorta people. During sporting events and intra and inter-hall activities, residents proudly wear their colors to support their fellow turtles.

The Residential Support Team (RST) at Jackomos Hall is committed to providing guidance, support, and a sense of belonging to all residents. With academic-support programs, sporting events, social gatherings, and cultural activities, the RST ensures that you not only have a comfortable living experience but also an enjoyable and enriching one.

Jackomos Hall is named in honor and recognition of Mrs. Merle Jackomos OAM, who has made significant contributions to the Aboriginal community. Mrs. Jackomos, who has tribal connections with the Yorta Yorta Nation, has been an advocate for Aboriginal welfare and has worked tirelessly to establish numerous services for Aboriginal people.
