"John the intake guy there was absolutely appalling. Kept asking me if I had a certain diagnosis, and I kept saying no, and he repeatedly asked me to the point I became distressed. I believe he was asking me if I had this to automatically disqualify me from the service for being too "complicated". At the beginning of the call, he said he'll link me to other service's if I'm not a match. By the end of the call, he was almost mocking me, and told me to go to my gp and get one myself because there's nothing he could do, and when I asked him about what he said about him helping me connect to a service, he merely said "Well, you can do that yourself". His tone with me was dismissive and awful for someone that was rejecting me from a service I desperately needed. I told him over and over that this was making me anxious and again he asked me I had that certain diagnosis until I was having a breakdown and I had to hang up the phonne. This happened earlier 2021, but it was so distressing and traumatic that im only mentioning it now. I don't know if this is how he treats other people he assessed, but his cold demeanour and failure to listen, help, and show empathy was distressing. And trying to force me to say I had a diagnosis I don't have was him creating some kind of narrative for me. Terrible..."
"They've helped me when I was 14-16 in a horrible state. And I've gone back there now at age 19 and they are still helping me the best they can. It really does help that you can talk to someone and that they understand and make you realise what the bigger picture is in some situations. Really helps. Thank you to everyone, Scott, Krystal, Kate, Beck, Sarah and Reception Ladies. Thank you"
