"As a long-time sufferer from glaucoma I switched to Vision Eye Institute Blackburn several years ago. It was a good move. The professional care has been outstanding and the specialist ophthalmologists are backed by a very caring, thorough and patient nursing staff plus efficient administrators. The clinic is in an attractive part of the city, has ample parking. and there's even a coffee shop nearby."

"Very bad experience at this clinic today. One of the two receptionists, an old lady with glasses, was very rude. When I arrived, I waited in the queue. There was a couple in front of me being served by the other receptionist. I might not have heard her calling me because these people were talking. She stared at me with a hostile look. So I went up to her. She looked very impatiently at me and asked why I didn't go to her .She served me in a very rude manner. After seeing the doctor, I went back to the reception desk to pay. There was no patient at the desk. Both receptionists were looking at their computers. So I just waited in the designated area , waited to be called. This lady mumbled something. I thought she called me. So I went up to her . She scolded me and said, "You wait until you are called !" I apologized and stepped back. By this time, the other receptionist noticed that they were not providing a proper service. She quickly served me. I've been going to this clinic for regular checks. The doctor is great, the others technicians are always good. But unfortunately, this receptionist spoils the good will of this clinic ."

"Excellent professional service but office management needs attention. The Vision Eye Institute at Blackburn is a rules and procedures based establishment. Nothing wrong about that but the customer service could do with some management attention. Sure, COVID-19 and social distancing has had a big impact on medical establishments. COVID-19 requirements dictate that patients are required to wait at the front door until admitted by a staff member. Many of the clients are elderly and sometimes frail but they have to wait until the administrative staff are ready. The same applies to waiting in line. The administrative staff are professional but their approach is formal sometimes heading towards officious. The professional staff assisting the surgeons are excellent, particularly in the initial stages. I would be confident many senior/elderly patients would be rather nervous, as I was on my first visit. My surgeon was a man of fairly few words but left me with every confidence of a satisfactory outcome to my procedure - which certainly proved to be the case. Vision Eye Institute has a good product but a little attention to the office administration would make it better - and more customer focussed."

"I have being a patient for over 20 years now. My operation was a complicated one but the doctor was professional enough that he was able to fix it. He is the reason that I had recommend other patient to him and the reason I had gone back to him for check up every year. The staff are all friendly and very patience. I know the wait time is challenging to handle but I felt reassured that I'm in good hand. To me eyes are very important so I want someone I can trust to look after it. Thank you Dr. Stasiuk."

"They do a great job of looking after your eyes here but there is a huge problem with their wait times. You of course ensure that you are on time for your appointment, in fact, as you are aware that time is precious you arrive a few minutes early. No matter, you are left waiting for over 2 hours on this occasion! Something must have gone wrong you tell yourself but no, the trouble is, it has been well in excess of an hours wait on your previous 3 visits. IF I HAVE AN APPOINTMENT I EXPECT NO MORE THAN A 30 MINUTES WAIT PEOPLE! Get your act together."
