"This is a must place to visit and especially to the air museum where many of the old classic wartime aeroplanes and stored for display undercover.There are accompanying videos and visual displays.Great for children as well as adults.(there are of course outside displays as well)"

"They have a pretty good public golf course here, but you do need ID to get into the facility being on a RAAF Base and all. Some interesting old building to look at as you drive past."
"Firstly, I knew Point Cook when it was an operational air force base in the 1960's and I was an airman posted there for a while. In those days it was surrounded by salt pans & market gardens, and a secluded shell covered beach with a couple of fisherman shacks. The airfield was abuzz with Winjeel aircraft flying in & out throughout the day, and it was also the RAAF School of Languages in the 60's. The Officer's Mess off the main drag had a long hall and, at the end before the dining room, was a huge concave mirror from a WWII searchlight. How things have changed since then."
