About the Business
Welcome to St Francis Xavier College, Beaconsfield, a leading Catholic school located in the beautiful suburb of Beaconsfield, Melbourne. As a multi-campus, co-educational institution, we are committed to providing exceptional Catholic education to high school students in Melbourne's south-eastern suburbs.
At St Francis Xavier College, we believe in the transformative power of education rooted in our Catholic identity. Our three campuses each bring our school culture to life in unique ways, all guided by a firm foundation that celebrates the saving mission of Christ.
One of our key focuses is the wellbeing of our students. Our Wellbeing curriculum, aligned with the Victorian Curriculum, equips students with the knowledge and understanding to promote their own welfare and that of others. Through teaching Personal and Social Capabilities, we empower our students to develop important skills in the areas of Relationships, Relevance, and Resilience.
Our Junior Curriculum lays a strong foundation across various learning disciplines, allowing students to build essential skills and explore their interests. In Years 7 to 9, students are introduced to subjects across all areas of the curriculum, providing them with a breadth of learning before they specialize in their chosen areas for their future studies. With specialist facilities, vibrant events, and elective choices, we strive to tailor the education experience to each student's needs.
For our senior students, our Senior Curriculum offers a range of academic and vocational pathways to prepare them for life after school. Whether completing the VCE, VCE VM, or other programs, our students have the support of a positive school community, accelerated learning opportunities, and specialty subjects that cater to their individual needs.
At St Francis Xavier College, we foster a values-based education centered around respect, curiosity, gratitude, and hope. Our goal is to help every student become the best version of themselves by providing a quality education in a caring yet challenging environment that extends beyond academic excellence.
We also acknowledge and pay respect to the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as Australia's First People and Traditional Custodians. We are grateful to live and serve on the land of the Bunurong people, recognizing their wisdom and stewardship of this land for generations.
Diversity and inclusivity are fundamental to our institution. We embrace people of all abilities, colors, cultures, faiths, financial circumstances, gender identities, and sexual orientations. We believe that every person is made in the image of God and strive to eliminate any systems or practices that exclude or disadvantage individuals.
Creating a child safe community is a priority at St Francis Xavier College. We work proactively to prevent any form of abuse or bullying, and we respond with compassion and care if concerns are raised. Our aim is to build a culture that promotes the safety and wellbeing of all members of our community.

"The disabled toilets were locked up on Saturday during the Confirmation Ceremony and the men's toilets were dirty. Disgraceful"
"The school gets worse and worse each year. You can't walk to class without feeling threatened and unsafe. the school cares more about how they look on paper rather than how their students are. Student wellbeing flew out the window years ago. Going to school every day here feels like you're going to war. You can't have a separate opinion to the school or you're going to get beaten or robbed. Worst school i've gone to (out of the 9 schools i've moved to). I DO NOT recommend this school to anybody."
"okay let me get into topic about this school alright the educational system isnt bad i honestly loved my classes especially the rights and freedom class that was probably the best but there are something in this school that i wished would change for ex: the people im going to be straight up honest the people here arent the nicest and its hard getting friends here i dont understand why i never enjoyed this school and i was always left with feeling depressed all the time or just straight up tired the school doesnt care about wellbeing / mental health i really wish they did speak more about mental health and wellbeing because alot of people who go here do struggle with that but it just doesnt seem they brought it up as often which is sad this school caused me alot of stress. the school it self is pretty big / the campus is big which i didnt mind i loved to walk around so it wasnt such a big fuss the main issues where the students as i just said if the sfx student community was better and the people were nicer i would of so much enjoyed the school the school is expensive but overall the school isnt bad it just the people and if you are new and is about to go to sfx and you are reading this i recommend on staying alone and being left alone cause you cant trust no body in this school unfortunately people love to cause drama here so to anyone who is new and is about to go to sfx keep to yourself you will thank me later "
"i went to this school and its by far the worst got put into so much useless drama so much fake friends your lucky if you get a chance to make friends here or even find a friend group been lonely and alone never made any friends due to the reason of everyone being fake here if your new your most likely to get dragged down by drama and its hard to get away from ive never felt happy going here it was tiring and stressful school fees way to expensive this school is filled with rich snoopy kids who think they own the place you get dirty looks if you got ripped shoes making friends here is by the far the hardest. been body shamed multiple times you just got to deal with it."
"Wonderful school with supportive environment and Teachers. My son is flourishing here and I'm grateful for the help, care and support he receives. Don't take the reviews from the students too seriously - teenagers are often emotional, entitled, and self absorbed. (Hopefully they'll mature out of that in time)"
