About the Business
Welcome to Northern Beaches Cancer Care, located at 49 Frenchs Forest Road East in Frenchs Forest, Australia. Situated in Building 4 of Forest Business Central Park, our institution offers a convenient and easily accessible location for patients and their carers. We understand the importance of accessibility, which is why we provide onsite, free street-level access to our clinic. Additionally, we can provide a wheelchair at the door if needed.
At Northern Beaches Cancer Care, we are dedicated to providing patient-centric healthcare and ensuring the best possible care for every individual who walks through our doors. We recognize the challenges and time constraints associated with accessing treatment, and strive to make our radiation oncology services as convenient as possible, minimizing disruptions to patients' daily routines.
Our Cancer Care Associates offer a comprehensive range of services. From consultations to treatments, all aspects of your care can be conveniently provided in one location. Our team of doctors covers all cancer types and brings global expertise to ensure the highest quality of care.
Radiation therapy, also known as radiotherapy, is a safe and effective treatment for managing cancer. Our radiation oncologists utilize radiation to eradicate cancer cells, reduce their growth, or alleviate symptoms. We employ advanced techniques such as Image-Guided Radiation Therapy (IGRT) to verify your position and anatomy before treatment, ensuring precise delivery of radiation. Intensity-Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT) shapes radiation beams to surround the treatment area, minimizing unnecessary exposure to surrounding tissue. Volumetric Modulated Arc Therapy (VMAT), a type of IMRT, maximizes radiation to the tumor while minimizing side-effects.
Our focus is not only on curing cancer but also on enhancing your quality of life by effectively managing symptoms. For men undergoing radiation therapy for prostate cancer, we offer the option of prostate spacers, a gel implant that creates a protective gap between the prostate and the rectum, reducing side-effects. We also provide Respiratory Motion Management for External Beam Radiation Therapy, which detects and adapts treatment delivery to optimize individual treatments.
At Northern Beaches Cancer Care, we value the importance of clinical trials in advancing cancer treatments. As part of your treatment, your specialist may discuss the possibility of participating in a clinical trial led by Cancer Care Associates Foundation or in partnership with other clinical trial groups. By participating in these trials, patients have the opportunity to benefit from new and innovative treatments.
Our highly skilled multi-disciplinary team is committed to providing you with the highest level of personalized care. We also acknowledge and pay respect to the Traditional Custodians and Elders of this nation, as well as the continuation of cultural, spiritual, and educational practices of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
At Northern Beaches Cancer Care, excellence in cancer care is our priority. We invite you to experience our patient-centric approach and receive the best possible care for your journey towards better health and well-being.

"Happy to recommend this practice. Took great care of me during my treatment. Dr Lee Na Chong was fabulous. Thanks to all the team"
"Truly blessed to have had my radiotherapy at such a wonderful and caring place. All the staff here are just lovely, caring and very supportive, from the ladies on reception, to the nurse to the radiologists."
"The service and care at Northern Beaches Cancer Care was fantastic. The staff went beyond my expectations to make me feel comfortable and cared for. I had my (6) week treatment through lockdown and they ensured I was safe whilst I visited the practice and that I followed the correct procedures. Dr Izard was very helpful and honest and took time to explain the process, the side effects and the what we should expect. If you find yourself needing Cancer Care, there is no better place to receive it."
"I found the staff at the NBCC to be very friendly, professional and calm. They were very informative and were great with supporting me emotionally, which is so important when dealing with daunting medical treatments. I had these treatments daily for 6 weeks, but in a way, going in to the NBCC felt more like I was meeting with friends everyday. A bonus is the beautiful ceiling in the radiation room, which was purposely designed to make you feel more relaxed. I am very grateful to the staff for their professional yet compassionate approach."
"NBCC is a haven for me as I go through 5 weeks of radiotherapy following breast cancer surgery. From the reserved free parking spaces straight outside the front doors to super friendly and helpful staff, this has been a lot different to what I had expected. Music of your choice plays as you receive treatment while you lie and look at the beautiful blossom tree picture on the ceiling. I have actually found it a very relaxing experience- especially knowing I am in such good hands. Very thankful to NBCC for their care and expertise through this unexpected season."
