"Dealt directly with the owner and operator of this shop (Alaa Hussein) to purchase a set of wheels and tyres, valued at $3500 + freight. The wheels were advertised as fantastic condition with 'minor marks' and the tyres were listed as brand new performance Advans. The problems started immediately after payment, when suddenly the freight deal we had organised would apparently only cover a depot to depot delivery. No problem, I said, as long as it is a depot nearby to me. A week later the wheels had not moved from the depot he had delivered the wheels to. By his own admission, Alaa advised that the freight company had told him the wheels were not packed correctly and they had refused to freight them. To compensate, Alaa agreed to cover the cost to have them sent directly to my house. I then left to go overseas for a week for a holiday. While there, I get a phone call from Alaa advising that the wheels had been delivered to the wrong address and I needed to contact who they had been dropped off to and collect them. Alaa blamed the transport company, but after organising the wheels to be collected from the wrong address (while I'm overseas on holiday), the shipping details stuck to the packages showed the incorrect address was filled out by the sender. After coming home and unboxing the wheels, immediately I saw they were covered in damage, namely curb rash and a scuff on one of the spokes of one wheel. One wheel has the lip ground down via curb rash almost the entire way around. The damage was not visible on the Facebook photos, or further photos I requested, due to a loosely colour matched paint pen being used to fill in the gouges. They look great in compressed Facebook photos and from 10 meters away, but are absolutely haggard up close. One of the 'brand new' performance tyres also has a nail poking out of it and may need to be replaced. Absolutely not the expectation when dropping 3.5k on wheels. Contact from Alaa regarding these issues has either been non-existant or outright hostile. He would read my messages with photos of the damage to the wheels and tyre, then when questioned days later about it (after not replying), would claim he had no idea what I was talking about and pretend he had not received the messages. He did this repeatedly (unfortunately for him, he has read receipts turned on for his text messaging) until eventually calling me a whinging child and other names, at which point communication broke down entirely as I had reached my breaking point. Avoid this business and this man at all costs. The dishonesty on display here is staggering."
