"My name is Clynt Wyllyams, and I want to share a significant chapter of my life – one that revolves around my experience with Caroline Chisholm Catholic College and my journey with Down syndrome. It's a story of challenges, triumphs, and the power of perseverance. When I began my educational journey at Caroline Chisholm Catholic College, I knew there would be hurdles to overcome due to my Down syndrome. However, what I didn't expect was the remarkable warmth and inclusivity that I encountered from the school community. From the very start, the staff and students at Caroline Chisholm extended their hands in friendship, ready to embrace diversity and create an environment where everyone could thrive. This college's commitment to inclusivity didn't just end at words; it was woven into their actions and policies. Through innovative teaching methods, dedicated support systems, and a culture of understanding, Caroline Chisholm Catholic College showcased how educational institutions can make a genuine difference in the lives of students with disabilities. What stood out the most was the way the college went above and beyond to educate not just its students, but also its teachers, about Down syndrome. This proactive approach fostered an environment where I felt respected, valued, and understood. The college's determination to challenge misconceptions about Down syndrome left an indelible mark on me and my fellow students. My time at Caroline Chisholm Catholic College taught me that a genuine commitment to inclusivity has the power to transform lives. It wasn't just about accommodating differences; it was about embracing them and using them to enrich the learning experience for everyone. The challenges I faced weren't insurmountable barriers, but rather stepping stones toward personal growth and achievement. Through the unwavering support of the Caroline Chisholm community, I not only completed my education but also discovered a newfound purpose. Today, I'm an advocate for inclusivity, working to spread awareness about Down syndrome and inspire others to create similar environments of acceptance and understanding. My journey with Caroline Chisholm Catholic College is a testament to the remarkable progress that can be made when an educational institution stands up against discrimination and truly embraces the potential of every student, regardless of their abilities. It's a journey that has shown me that with the right support and attitude, no challenge is too great, and no dream is beyond reach."
"full of gang members lots of shanks quite unfortunate i cant go within 100 meters of a school and teach these kids a lesson"
"Caroline Chisholm has helped my son in every way the can. The fact that he had to wear uniform it shows respect. They treat the students as individuals. There was a little bullying at the start but it ho sorted. They are even helping him with year 12 subjects"
"ive heard many things about this wretched school to the point that its funny that most of these things are true. this school cares way too much about their image and not enough about education. they are very focused on uniform which diverts their attention away from what students are actually at school for. apparently they dont know how to spend their money either because just how many statues do you need?? i will never forget when my friend was supposed to go to this school but she moved, and 4Cs did not give her back her $500 . i have also heard that there are unqualified teachers and some who even bully the students, if you dont like your job then why are you here?"
"honestly, i can’t put the hatred I have for this school in words. I can confirm that this school does only care about image. We don’t learn here as from my experience from 7-9, unless you’re in aspire and the students that aren’t put into aspire will struggle once they begin year 10. The funny thing is I don’t even need to explain how much the school relies on the students to make them look good, a teacher literally confirmed it to the entire class. They said that they needed our ATARS to make the school look good and there are at least 15+ witnesses to prove it. So don’t be fooled by what the school says, it’s clear to see that the only reason they’re trying to “educate” us is so that our ATARs are beneficial to the school not so that we will have a successful future. this school could do a whole protest on the importance of mental health and they still won’t be able to prove it at school. I’ve been at my lowest for years, but it took a NEW teacher to identify something was wrong within the classroom between the friends I used to have. Although he only joined the school this year, I am grateful enough to have him as a math teacher because his classes are the only reason why I am less anxious at school than I was before (IF YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE, YOURE THE BEST), otherwise the other teachers do not seem to care. The teachers I’ve known for three years couldn’t even spot the difference. Please, just go to another school that can provide you or your child a good education. This school is strict with uniform and even waking up knowing you have to come here is no delight."
