"Gotta admit some of the teachers were icons and will forever be in my braincells, but I'm still bummed we couldn't get reimbursed for the whole camp we paid for but didn't get because of covid."
"Absolutely disgusting treatment my child received here. She suffered trauma at the hands of her father growing up and the teachers couldn’t deal with it, even though that isn’t their job. I’m still mad. Next time, have a therapist on site to help with my child’s personal issues instead of teaching her. May God love you always. But don’t send your child here."
"DISGUSTING TREATMENT. The educational system supported by this school FAILED MY DAUGHTER, BY NOT FAILING HER. She had problems right from the middle of Prep, which compounded each year because the teachers were teaching the class - not teaching the student. My daughter had no friends since grade two because she lashed out at anyone close enough at the time - I can certainly understand that. The school refused point-blank to have her assessed for learning problems because "She wasn't bad enough". They refused to contact me about her problem behaviour until third episodes occurred, at which I was then CONFRONTED by angry teacher, angry vice-principal, angry principal; and a very angry, frustrated, confused, and clinically depressed daughter. We had to pay upfront to have her partially assessed on our own time in grade 5. We weren't well off and we weren't after funding - we simply wanted answers and strategies - we were DENIED any of this. Her grade six teacher ignored the strategies set out by the partial assessment. We had pushed to have her kept down in grade 5 - they refused - one of them saying that it wasn't FAIR ON HER YOUNGER SISTER, that she needed the two year gap at school alone. Her younger sister is a bubbly child who has several long term friends and a very much higher self esteem; and is a comfortably average student, now in grade six. Now, after year 7 at her secondary school, my older daughter has been DIAGNOSED, we know what her strengths are, she has a learning plan and is getting the help she needs. I am hopeful that by year nine, she will only be one year behind in the academic subjects. After this year, I will be washing my hands of this primary school."
