Please note that our practice operates on a mixed billing system, and our fees will change on 1 April 2023. A full breakdown of fees is available at our reception. We kindly request that you cancel appointments at least 2 hours in advance or a non-attendance fee of $40.00 will apply.
To ensure that we can accommodate all patients, we encourage you to make bookings online whenever possible. While our standard appointments are 10 minutes long, certain services may require longer consultation times.
For test results, please make an appointment with your doctor for a follow-up. Medical certificates can be provided after a consultation, but they cannot be backdated. If you require a telehealth consultation, please book online if you have visited our practice in the past twelve months.
Rest assured that your privacy and confidentiality are of utmost importance to us. We adhere to the AMA code of Ethics and ensure that your medical records and consultations are kept strictly confidential.
If you need to transfer your medical records from a previous practice, please request a 'transfer of medical records' form from our reception team.
For pathology tests, a referral from your GP is necessary. We recommend having this ready when visiting the pathology collection center. Work cover patients will be treated the same as regular patients, but please inform your employer before your first consultation to obtain a claim number.
Specialist referrals require a letter from a GP, so please schedule an appointment with a GP to discuss your referral needs. Our communications policy outlines how and when we handle telephone calls and electronic communication. Please note that we do not disclose personal information over email or use it to book or cancel appointments.

Reviews
"That is not the first time that the receptionist is rude and not very nice, but today she was very rude rolling eyes which made me feel really bad. She said that I had not made an appointment for my daughter and at the end I found out she had booked on the wrong date."
"Receptionist was very rude and made me feel uncomfortable from the start due to me not having my paper work even though my tests were paid for the week previous! I’m More than certain they have a client file online. I then continued to watch her be rude to other patients especially over the phone. Her constant huffing behind the counter was uncalled for. I believe her name is ‘Kerry’ ..... late 50s/early 60’s short hair and glasses!!! Bad attitude and eye rolling, very abrupt and abrasive when talking to you."
"My appointment was with Dr Kapel. The practice charges Medicare rates. The outcome of my appointment was distressing. After hearing my reason for the appointment, the Doctor opened a government health website to provide me answers. She then used google to find an alternative for a medicine that is not available in AU. I do not feel confident in the recommendation prescribed by the Doctor. The appointment ran longer than usual because the Doctor shared personal stories. Thereafter she charged me for an extra long consultation which I had to pay out of pocket as I am a private patient. I am disappointed to pay for extra time when, the length of the appointment was not as a result of my reason for visit. She stated that the extra time was because this was my first visit to the practice. If this is standard practice, patients should be warned before the appointment commences."
"Sharron had no bedside manner. I came in for a skin check, she asked me one question about my profession, checked about 10 spots on my body and told me nothing was off, $200 to remove a mole, good bye. If I was inside for more than 60 seconds I would be very surprised. Felt very ripped off by this service, and don't feel like I got a good check at all. I would never go back and would absolutely not recommend this clinic to anyone."
"Mixed up my online booking, then sent me upstairs to sit for 40min (still waiting). Smug receptionists who played dance music and blanbed away like its a social gathering. Watched five patients go ahead of me. Not good enough go elsewhere. They bulk bill in Mount Street medical practice."
