Welcome to Willis Street Kindergarten, located at 10-12 Willis Street in Saint Albans, Australia. As an establishment and point of interest, our kindergarten is dedicated to providing a high-quality educational experience for young children.

This rating reflects our commitment to meeting and exceeding the NQS criteria in various areas, including educational program and practice, children's health and safety, physical environment, staffing arrangements, relationships with children, collaborative partnerships with families and communities, as well as leadership and service management.

At Willis Street Kindergarten, we believe that every child is unique, capable, and inquisitive. Our flexible program offers inclusive opportunities for children to engage and learn through play, both indoors and outdoors. We recognize that children thrive when given ample time for playing, exploring, and problem-solving. We also encourage sustainable practices and provide opportunities for children to develop a sense of agency, making choices and decisions that impact their play and learning.

We value the voice of children in our program, allowing them to guide and direct their learning based on their strengths and interests. Our focus is on inspiring creativity and expression, emphasizing the process rather than the end product. We view our program as an extension of the home, and we welcome kindergarten families to spend time with their child, participate in activities, and observe the program and routine.

Respecting the culturally diverse community we serve, we promote equity and respect for all. Our kindergarten has a parent advisory group that collaborates with educators to fundraise for new resources, organize incursions and excursions, and enhance the learning experience.

Our curriculum aligns with both the National Early Years Learning Framework and the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework, ensuring that your child receives a comprehensive and high-quality early learning experience. Our passionate and experienced educators use intentional teaching approaches, scaffolding learning, modeling tasks, and co-constructing learning alongside the children.

To be eligible for our four-year-old kindergarten program, children must turn four years of age on or before the 30th of April in the year of attendance.
