"What was I thinking ever speaking to these people in the first place. It was a weak moment. So now not only has my number been scooped up by these people and others that they sell their client lists to so I get so many harassing calls that I have over 200 blocked numbers in my phone trying in vain to escape these parasites. But, the “policy” I had in place which I CANCELLED before any money was supposed to be taken from my account, they took it anyway. I realise this and when I call then they say yes we have a cancellation request by phone by you in the system. But we needed to call you back to confirm and I didn’t respond to them to request to cancel it again after I had already cancelled it. You people are criminals."
"Over the past day I have been absolutely bombarded with calls from two numbers relating to Freedom Insurance. On the first call, it seemed like a wrong number as they were looking for someone by a different name. The man who phoned assured me my number would be removed ... but then they just kept phoning ... Second time I explained I was at work and couldn't talk and they didn't even have the decency to apologise. They've just kept phoning ever since from two different numbers, though fortunately I've missed the calls. It's absolutely ridiculous and an invasion of privacy. There is no way I would purchase insurance products through this company based on my (and it looks like many others) experience of harassment. (Also, the call centre is ridiculously loud and just comes off as extremely disreputable). STOP CALLING ME! UPDATE 20/06/2018: I have contacted the marketing department via email over the weekend and am yet to receive a response. I have also spoken twice to staff asking Freedom to stop calling me. One couldn't remove my number, only add a file note NOT to call, and the other, a Team Leader assured me my phone number would be removed (Tuesday 19/06) though there may be a waiting period for the change to happen ... I received another phone call today, Wednesday 20 June 2018. The Team Leader couldn't tell me how Freedom got my number, particularly interesting given the name they have for the phone number is incorrect ... This review was first logged on Tuesday 19 June 2018. It is not Friday and I have (a) not had a response from the email I sent to marketing and (b) am still receiving calls from Freedom ..."
"Dodgy business by dodgy company... They've been calling me every single day, couple of times a day for past three weeks. I had no idea where they got my contact details from... they had my name, DOB and phone number. First week, the number appeared to be from Sydney, second week the number changed to Melbourne and then this week it appeared from Perth and Brisbane! I tried to call the numbers back, which they look like a landline, but you always get the same message bank, saying to call some 1300 number... so I did as it was just annoying they wouldn't give up. The lady told me they don't have any record of me and assured me, they would take me off the contact list. They DID NOT. And they kept calling until I picked up... they were trying to sell me 1 year free funeral insurance as I was eligible... eligible under what circumstances? I said to him nothing is for free! Basically i had a chat with the manager and he admitted they buy databases of unsuspecting people and they unleash their wonderful marketing. He even casually told me that he could see in his system they called me 15 times! Err... they just must be very clueless or just bloody persistent. To me, that's just dodgy practise. Do not get fooled! Let's see if they call me again ..."
"They sure know how to upset a lot of people!!! Calling us almost every day and multiple times a day, even through different numbers. I've been putting up with this for weeks. Why should we give you more information about ourselves to be removed from the calling list when we didn't give out our numbers to begin with? You would think CAG would give up trying to contact us if we're not answering after 1 week, they're just wasting their time and your money. I would give zero stars if I could."
"Is there a 0/5 rating I can choose? I have told them to stop calling me for over a year now! At least once a week, I gave up that months ago and now I just hang up. Every day of the week I get calls from these people. On all of my phones. To the point where legitimate business is being interrupted by them time and TIME AGAIN!!! Answer my emergency 'on-call' phone which could be a call that could prevent injury or fatality and yes, it's them calling about insurance! ugh. STOP CALLING ME. If you are reading this review as a potential customer, RUN! don't walk, away from this company, don't ever even consider doing business with them for the briefest moment, as they are more persistent at hounding me when I tell them time and time again to not call, that I can't even fathom how frustrating they would be to be a customer of them. You induce absolute blood curdling rage in to me every single day with your constant, ceaseless calls and you are IN BREACH OF Australian LAW by calling people on the ACMA Do-Not-Call list!! Go away! Never call me again! Before you reply with some generic frustrating 'email to service@blah' reply I have already done this now. Why not just employ legitimate business practices instead of inflicting something like water torture on the poor unsuspecting public? Perhaps just offer a good product rather than relying on wearing down the will of everyone you contact by calling them for over a year almost daily? Did the first 50 times I said "I am not interested" not send a message to you or perhaps the next 50 calls where I told you to never contact me again? Or how your company didn't get the message when I just hung up exhausted just boggles the mind, are your sales team comprised purely of sadists who would shame even the Marquis de Sade? I can't fathom your tactics other than to say I have never before and hope to never again experience a 'sales' team like your company employs."
