"A friend wanted to have Taiwanese breakfast so we went. I don’t know much about the Taiwanese breakfast. I had half of a sticky rice ball, Chinese donut and the sweet soy milk. The soy milk was good. The donut didn’t seem to be very fresh. It’s cold. It’s crispy but the skin was hard and it’s a bit oily. Again the diced donut inside the rice ball was pretty hard but the rice ball was warm. My friend said that she was expecting preserved radish 菜脯inside the rice ball instead of pickled mustard 榨菜. She also had an egg panfried roll with Chinese donut but not to her expectation. There are lot more of other dishes on the menu and other customers seemed to enjoy their orders."
"Rice average but fried Chinese donut terrible it’s seems refried and full of oil on it. Ps, soy milk still good Overall, little bit disappointing compared what tasted before"
"The best thing I ate this weekend (and many weekends before this) is the homemade soy milk and Taiwanese fried chicken fillet bento set at the Sunny Cafe, Springvale. There is a very small seating space so inevitably there’s a queue every single time we visit. Most people give up and takeaway. I see many loyal patrons ordering soy milk, Chinese doughnut and the luroufan (braised pork belly on rice). It’s also cash only which can be annoying if you don’t bring much cash. If you are up for delicious and are not fussed on the ambience and waiting time, go for this! You will be transported back to Taipei"
"The egg rolls were a bit too moist causing the chinese donuts to lose its crispiness. As for the braised pork rice, the diced pork had really great texture but lacks a bit of flavour. The best dish so far was the soup. They only accept cash so be mindful of that."
