"WORST EMERGENCY TRIAGE When I was screaming in excruciating nerve pain, the duty triage nurse was rudely telling me to stop disturbing others, stop yelling at her and threatened me to call security!!!!!! They denied me any place to lie down. No doctors were consulted as I continued to scream out of agony. After administering an oral pain killer that would work after 20 min, they immediately sent me back to the waiting room, further threatening me to put outside in the cold winter night if I continue to scream. Later, after 3-4 hours, the duty doctor apologised and prescribed some strong medication, which I consider an acknowledgment of the pain. Next day CT scan revealed slip disc; the nerve problem caused the leg muscle to cramp on the acing nerve causing the excruciating pain. I can see plenty of reviews of the rude behaviour of the nursing staff, some are 2 years old. This is definitely a management concern. The culture needs to be improved."
"Excellent experience, the staff were very friendly and helpful. Dr Tom was fantastic and answered all my questions and more. He was absolutely great, could not have had a better experience in an emergency room. Very professional, knowledgeable and caring. 10/10!!! Thank you all so much!"
"WORST HOSPITAL EVER! Not the first time ive had issues with them but todays had to of been the worst I was taken my ambulance and I could barely stand, walk or sit and even hurt to lay down I could see extra beds available yet I was told I was going in a wheelchair and put into the waiting room I decided to sign their form stating I was leaving the waiting time was anywhere between 2-5 hours and I did make comment that I am pregnant and something doesn’t feel right at all I’ve now left and was seen at another hospital within 15mins and have gotten a bed almost instantly I wouldn’t even go there if I was on my death bed it’s disgusting that they can’t do anything right they have told me previously I had this wrong with me but wasn’t too bad I went to my doctor and was scheduled for emergency surgery but OFC Hawkesbury couldn’t find anything so so angry with them THEY DESERVE TO BE SHUT DOWN"
"Absolutely terrible hospital. Not even worth 1 star. We went there with our infant about a year ago and had the worst experience one could ever imagine. After we left, we were told by Westmead Childrens we should’ve come straight to them as they get quite a bit of negative feedback about this hospital. I then spoke to the locals who said they wouldn’t even go there for a broken bone that’s how terrible it is there. It’s so sad that our local hospital is an absolute failure in the NSW Health system. Our experience was so bad we made an offical formal complaint that went to the top of the chain. We got an apology and they told us the staff would be spoken to and extensive training would be provided. They were literally googling and texting staff at Westmead for advice for how to deal with the emergency we were experiencing. Very discomforting. Not to mention leaving a newborn who was hysterical untreated for almost 5 hours. Shame on you."
"So frustrating , I dropped some food for my in-law who just had a baby but was thrown away as i was told. The mom who had a baby was tempting for food all night. The next morning I went to inquire about it i was told that is not priority of emergency staff. Why to accept, the task if you care less for something, something that can be essential for patient. On top of that i lost my containers which was worth around 50 dollars Aggressive behaviour depends upon the staffs as well"
