"My son had acute ear infection, took him to Emergency at this hospital, the nurses were rude and the doctors made a wrong diagnosis and started steroid treatment….. the condition worsened and his ear started bleeding profusely… we took him back the next morning…. Waited for 5 hours, tolerated rude behaviour from the triage nurse again ( this time it was a different one) … she refused to even acknowledge his pain while my son was continuously bleeding form ear and said “ its not a heart attack so he better wait” finally the doctor on duty examined and diagnosed it as a severe mid ear infection… she was kind and nice and corrected the medication to antibiotics ….. Even third world countries have better treatment and facilities available AVOID this hospital’s emergency ward at any cost"
"Was really taken care of when I attended the emergency department earlier this week. Nurses and doctors were lovely and really helped me when I thought the worse was going to happen... those who complain of a wait...be grateful for medicare.. the public hospitals do what they can and nurses and doctors are so under valued and run off their feet...think about what that nurse or doctor endures all day every day of their ridiculously long shift the next time you feel someone is being "rude" Thank you Mt Druitt hospital ❤️"
"Walked in Main Entrance. Volunteers were there to direct me to Radiology desk. Was easy enough process to get my MRI. Peter the Radiologist was very professional & helpfilul. Was over in 10mins in the machine. Then went to the Canteen & had an Omelete for $5. Was good experience overall."
"Disgusted if you were a dog in a vet you will get better treatment. Honest review Was there for Day surgery for my stomach had to cut me open and operate from the time of arrival had to wait couple of hours is expected and understandable. Then the indian staff nurse took me to get admin ask questions that was relevant for about 15mins took a pcr test and wrote NOT VACCINATED IN RED BLOCKS on my paper bit of her attitude changed when i said i wasn’t vaccinated. After a series of question i just ask her one question can you please note that the pcr is neg n write it down under the the not vaccinated she had then spoke rudely and said Im not done and ill put it on the computer. I stayed quiet after 5mins she realized and then wrote it down took to me my room and said wait here. There was no bed after 20- 30mins they brang me. Bed and left i sat and waited no issue with the waiting its the communication and treatment that im going to inform you bout. After two hour 2 ladys walk in one was rude and hostile and yelled GET UNDRESSED !! I stayed quiet and did then waited then then lady that pushes the bed to surgery came in and push me to surgery she was actually very nice and professional as were the surgery staff and recovery ward. They took me back to my ward 2C then i just asked the nurse Ann for some water due to the tube that that had in my throat it caused dry throat i can sense she had a issue with the request she seem very hostile rude and unwelcoming she wouldn’t respond even to my thank yous and much appreciated comments i gave her not a issue i said just let it slide no biggie. My mom and dad came to pick me up were 15mins late due to traffic Ann walks in and removes my blanket an says get dressed you need to leave soon without offering any assistance in a hostile matter this was mind you 2 hours after surgery i was lucky to push myself out the bed and take baby steps to the bathrooms i got dressed which was difficult n never responded negative stayed quiet and said to my self just be patient. My mum and dad came and i just wanted to leave due to the treatment i didnt feel welcomed Ann came in and started to read me the dos and donts of inhome care procedures my mums phone went off then Ann gets mad and stare at her i talked to my mum and said please hang up my mum did and stayed quiet and found her very hostile. While Ann was near the end of finishing my dad requested a wheel chair Ann yell IM STILL TALKING i then had had enough i said to her why are you so angry please just stop n dont worry ill read the rest of the paper myself then she carmed down and finished n walked out. She said ill get. Wheelchair we waited 30mins then my dad just said ill just help you walk to the car and we walked out the nurse told me to wait to give me my prescription finally wheel chair came and we left. Honest review surgical staff ( 10/10) Surgeon 10/10 very good Lady pushing the bed heather 10/10 Nurses i dealt with in ward 2C 4/10 Ann nurse from ward 2C 1/10 Advice dont be a nurse if you hate your job it requires care compassion and helping those that are in a weak state. 2/5 only due to the fact there was some pros but cons made it uncomfortable"
"Shocking. Traumatic. Unforgettably painful experience. My son jad fever and ..... It took almost 10 hours to get medication that actually eased his pain and helped him. They wanted to admit him but had no bed. I waited for 10 hours for a bed. After my 16 hours of hell called the waiting room, I got a bed for my son. I dont know who to blame. Doctors n nurses must be trying their best. May be number of beds needs to be increased or perhaps they are understaffed. Whatever it is, that is not how emergencies are managed."
